A name for the History forum

Post by Revan »

Hi Watchers. I've recently been comtemplating the idea of a history forum here; and thought it would make a good idea. There are many subjects that can be covered in a history, and I have many ideas for topics - and I'm sure many of our other fine history experts could contribute excellently.

There are many areas which can be discussed in history Cold war. Communism and capitalist and their effects on human society. Topics regarding great historians and the best outlook on history, orthodox, revisionist and post-revisionism. American civil war, black rightds movement. World war one and two. The gulf war. History of religion and it's effects; great and evil leaders. Anicent civilizations and historic myths and legend.

These are just the ideas off the top of my head; and many more can be introduced by other members.

I think this is a great idea. History offers a lot of topics for discussion, both ancient and modern that have relevance today.

Surely we can only have this new forum if Darth agrees to be the mod. ;)

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Great forum suggestion, Revan. :R

I second drews' name: The One Forest
because it hints towards the time that was before the "newer" Land.

I thought we were calling the Gap Dissection Crossing the Gap.

I suppose the most of the Scatterlings forums are named after themes from the Thomas Covenant books, so that's fair.

My second favourite was danlo's.

Names aside, I'm deadly serious about you being the mod Darthy. :D

Although I too like danlo's suggestion, Doriendor Corishev.

OOOooo...

I favor Doriendor Corishev too. It has a good sense of weight behind it. The weight of history?

Good feel.

Maybe, just maybe, a History of Science thread will finally get Paul to formally join the Watch.

I guess it's too late for me to make my obligatory remark about there being too many forums already, huh? ;)
