Thank you Danlo

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

A Perfect Circle
"The Outsider"
help me if you can
it's just that this
is not the way
i'm wired
so could you please,
help me understand why
you've given in to all these
reckless dark desires
you're lying to yourself again
suicidal imbecile
think about it, put it on the faultline
what'll it take to get it through to you precious
i'm over this, why do you wanna throw it away like this
such a mess, why would i wanna watch you
disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time
what's your rush now, everyone will have his day to die
medicated, drama queen, picture perfect, numb beligerance
narcisistic, drama queen, craving fame and all this decadence
lying through your teeth again
suicidal imbecile
think about it, put it on the faultline
what'll it take to get it through to you precious
i'm over this, why do you wanna throw it away like this
such a mess, why would i wanna watch you
disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time
what's your rush now, everyone will have his day to die
they were right about you
they were right about you
lying to my face again
suicidal imbecile
think about it, put it on the faultline
what'll it take to get it through to you precious
i'm over this , why do you wanna throw it away like this
such a mess, over this, over this
disconnect and self destruct, one bullet at a time
what's your hurry, everyone will have his day to die
if you choose to pull the trigger, should your drama prove sincere,
do it somewhere far away from here

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Heroes
David Bowie
I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing will
Drive them away
We can beat them
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
And you
You can be mean
And I
I'll drink all the time
'Cause we're lovers
And that is a fact
Yes we're lovers
And that is that
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We could steal time
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
For ever and ever
What d'you say
I
I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins
Like dolphins can swim
Though nothing
Will keep us together
We can beat them
For ever and ever
Oh we can be Heroes
Just for one day
I
I will be king
And you
You will be queen
Though nothing
Will drive them away
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be us
Just for one day
I
I can remember
Standing
By the wall
And the guns
Shot above our heads
And we kissed
As though nothing could fall
And the shame
Was on the other side
Oh we can beat them
For ever and ever
Then we can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
We can be Heroes
Just for one day
We can be Heroes
We're nothing
And nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying
Then you better not stay
But we could be safer
Just for one day
fall far and well Pilots!

Lithium
by NIRVANA
I'm so happy 'cause today i found my friends
They're in my head
I'm so ugly
That's okay 'cause so are you
We've broken our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday for all i care
And i'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze
'Cause i found God
Yeah, yeah, yeah (x6)
Yeah!
I'm so lonely, that's okay, i shaved my head
And i'm not sad
And just maybe i'm to blame for all i've heard
But i'm not sure
I'm so excited, i can't wait to meet you there
And i don't care
I'm so horny, that's okay my will is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah (x6)
Yeah!
I like it... i'm not gonna crack
I miss you... i'm not gonna crack
I love you... i'm not gonna crack
I kill you... i'm not gonna crack

"I support the destruction of the Think-Tank." - Avatar, August 2008
There's a thousand great songs by Bob Dylan, but this one is possibly the greatest - at least lyrics-wise. Almost every damn line is a great quote.
It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
Darkness at the break of noon
shadows even the silver spoon
The hand-made blade, the child's balloon
eclipses both the sun and moon
To understand, you know too soon
There's no sense in trying
Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn
As suicide remarks are torn
From the fool's gold mouthpiece, the hollow horn
Plays wasted words, proves to warn
That he not busy being born
Is busy dying
Temptation's page flies out the door
You follow, find yourself at war
Watch waterfalls of pity roar
You feel to moan, but unlike before
you discover you'd just be one more
person crying
So don't fear if you hear
a foreign sound to your ear
It's all right, Ma -
I'm only sighing
As some warn victory, some downfall,
Private reasons, great or small,
can be seen in the eyes of those that call
to make all that should be killed to crawl
While others say, "Don't hate nothing at all
except hatred"
Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Make everything from toy guns that spark
to flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It's easy to see without looking too far
that not much is really sacred
While preachers preach of evil fates,
Teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead you to hundred dollar plates
Goodness hides behind its gates
But even the President of the United States
sometimes must have to stand naked
And though the rules of the road have been lodged,
it's only people's games that you've gotta dodge
And it's all right, Ma - I can make it
Advertising signs that con
you into thinking that you're the one
that can do what's never been done,
that can win what's never been won
Meantime life outside goes on
all around you
You lose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you've got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling, distant voice unclear
Startles your sleeping ear to hear
that someone thinks that they really have found you
A question in your nerves is lit
Yet you know there is no answer fit
To satisfy, ensure you not to quit,
to keep it in your mind and don't forget
That it isn't he or she or them or it
that you belong to
And though the masters make the rules
for the wise men and the fools,
I've got nothing, Ma, to look up to
For them that must obey authority
that they do not respect in any degree,
who despise their jobs, their destiny,
speak jealously of them that are free,
do what they do just be nothing more
than something they invest in
While some unprinciples baptized
to strict party platform ties
Social clubs in drag disguise
Outsiders they can freely criticize
Do nothing 'cept say who to idolize
and say "God bless him"
While one who sings with his tongue on fire,
gargles in the rat-race choir,
bent out of shape from society's pliers,
cares not to come up any higher
but rather get you down in the hole
that he's in
But I mean no harm, nor put fault
on anyone who lives in a vault
But it's all right, Ma, if I can't please him
Old lady judges watch people in pairs
Limited in sex, they dare
to push fake morals, insult and stare
Money doesn't talk, it swears
Obscenity - who really cares?
Propaganda all is phony
While them that defend what they cannot see
with the killer's pride, security
It blows their minds most bitterly
For them that think death's honesty
won't fall upon them naturally,
life sometimes must get lonely
My eyes collide head-on with stuffed
graveyards, false gods, I scoff
at pettiness which plays so rough
Walk upside down inside handcuffs
Kick my legs to crash it off,
say, "Alright! I've had enough! What else can you show me?"
And if my thought dreams could be seen,
they'd probably put my head in a guilloutine
But it's all right, Ma - it's life and life only

Through the fish eyed lens of tear stained eyes
I can barely define the shape of this moment in time
And far from flying high in clear blue skies
I’m spiralling down to the hole in the ground where I hide
If you negotiate the minefield in the drive
And beat the dogs and cheat the cold electronic eyes
And if you make it past the shotgun in the hall
Dial the combination. open the priesthole
And if I’m in I’ll tell you what’s behind the wall
There’s a kid who had a big hallucination
Making love to girls in magazines
He wonders if you’re sleeping with your new found faith
Could anybody love him
Or is it just a crazy dream
And if I show you my dark side
Will you still hold me tonight
And if I open my heart to you
And show you my weak side
What would you do
Would you sell your story to rolling stone
Would you take the children away
And leave me alone
And smile in reassurance
As you whisper down the phone
Would you send me packing
Or would you take me home
Thought I oughta bare my naked feelings
Thought I oughta tear the curtain down
I held the blade in trembling hands
Prepared to make it but just then the phone rang
I never had the nerve to make the final cut

Dave Carter said he wrote this because he wondered why the banjo had to sound "so damn cheerful all the time."
come, lonely hunter, chieftain and king, i will fly like the falcon when i go
bear me my brother under your wing, i will strike fell like lightning when i go
i will bellow like the thunder drum, invoke the storm of war
a twisting pillar spun of dust and blood up from the prairie floor
i will sweep the foe before me like a gale out on the snow
and the wind will long recount the story, reverence and glory, when i go
spring, spirit dancer, nimble and thin, i will leap like coyote when i go
tireless entrancer, lend me your skin, i will run like the gray wolf when i go
i will climb the rise at daybreak, i will kiss the sky at noon
raise my yearning voice at midnight to my mother in the moon
i will make the lay of long defeat and draw the chorus slow
i'll send this message down the wire and hope that someone wise is listening when i go
and when the sun comes trumpets from his red house in the east
he will find a standing stone where long i chanted my release
he will send his morning messenger to strike the hammer blow
and i will crumble down uncountable in showers of crimson rubies when i go
sigh, mournful sister, whisper and turn, i will rattle like dry leaves when i go
stand in the mist where my fire used to burn, i will camp on the night breeze when i go
and should you glimpse my wandering form out on the borderline
between death and resurrection and the council of the pines
do not worry for my comfort, do not sorrow for me so
all your diamond tears will rise up and adorn the sky beside me when i go

I bought Pet Sounds today. I think it might be the best album ever . . . I can identify with this song a lot:
I JUST WASN'T MADE FOR THESE TIMES
by The Beach Boys
(Lyrics: Brian Wilson)
I keep looking for a place to fit
Where I can speak my mind
I've been trying hard to find the people
That I won't leave behind
They say I got brains
But they ain't doing me no good
I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin' for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(Can't find nothin' I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(Can't find nothin' I can put my heart and soul into)
I guess I just wasn't made for these times
Every time I get the inspiration
To go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places
Where new things might be found
Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out
What's it all about
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin' for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(Can't find nothin' I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(Can't find nothin' I can put my heart and soul into)

One of my favourite songs is F.E.A.R. by former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown. The opening 8 has a haunting quality and has been used on a thousand ads.
For each a road
For everyman a religion
Find everybody and rule
F*** everything and rumble
Forget everything and remember
For everything a reason
Forgive everybody and remember
For each a road
For everyman a religion
Face everybody and rule
F*** everything and rumble
Forget everything and remember
For everything a reason
You got the fear
You got the fear
You got the fear
You got the fear
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)
F.E.A.R.
Finding eternity arouses reactions
Freeing excellence affects reality
Fallen empires are running
Find earth and reap
Fantastic expectations
Amazing revelations
Final execution and resurrection
Free expression as revolution
Finding everything and realising
You got the fear
You got the fear
You got the fear
You got the fear
You got the fear
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)
F.E.A.R. (You got the fear)

Whiskey In The Jar
Traditional
As I was going over the Kilmagenny mountain
I met with captain Farrell and his money he was counting.
I first produced my pistol, and the produced my rapier.
Said stand and deliver, for I am a bold deceiver,
musha ring dumma do damma da
whack for the daddy 'ol
whack for the daddy 'ol
there's whiskey in the jar
I counted out his money, and it made a pretty penny.
I put it in my pocket and I brought it home to Jenny.
She said and she swore, that she never would deceive me,
but the devil take the women, for they never can be easy
I went into my chamber, for to take a slumber,
I dreamt of gold and jewels and for sure it was no wonder.
But Jenny took my charges and she filled them up with water,
and sent for captain Farrel to be ready for the slaughter.
It was early in the morning, before I rose to travel,
the guards were all around me and likewise captain Farrel.
I first produced my pistol, for she stole away my rapier,
but I couldn't shoot the water so a prisoner I was taken.
If anyone can aid me, it's my brother in the army,
if I can find his station in Cork or in Killarney.
And if he'll come save me, we'll go roving near Kilkenny,
and I swear he'll treat me better than me own sportling Jenny
Now some men take delight in the drinking and the roving,
but others take delight in the gambling and the smoking.
But I take delight in the juice of the barley,
and courting pretty fair maids in the morning bright and early

Obviously in a mood... though I've found other versions, this is how I remember this song.
Other versions..."Tarrier's Song"
Every morning at 7 o'clock
There were twenty tarriers a drillin' at the rock
The boss comes around and he says keep still
And bear down heavy on that cast iron drill
And drill ye tarriers drill
Drill ye tarriers drill
For it's work all day for the sugar in your tay
Down behind the railway
And blast
And fire
The new foreman was Jim McCann
By God he was a blame mean man
Last week a premature blast went off
And a mile in the air went big Jim Goff
Drill ye tarriers drill
Next time payday come around
A dollar short Jim Goff was found
When he asked what for
Came this reply
"You were docked for the time you was up in the sky!"
And drill ye tarriers drill
Drill ye tarriers drill
For its work all day for the sugar in your tay
Down behind the railway
And blast
And fire
Now tarriers live on work and sweat
Ain't no tarrier got rich yet
It's work and sleep
Then work some more
And we'll drill right down to the Devil's Door
Now drill ye tarriers drill
Drill ye tarriers drill
For it's work all day for the sugar in your tay
Down behind the railway
And blast
And fire
and most commonly...Every morning at seven o'clock
You see a gang of tarriers drilling in the rock;
And the foreman yells, "Now don't stand still
But come down heavy on that cast-iron drill!"
Chorus:
Then drill, ye tarriers, drill!
Drill, ye tarriers, drill!
For we work all day without sugar in our tay
When we work on the C.P. Railway,
So it's drill, Ye tarriers, drill!
The boss sent us to drill a hole -
He swore and cursed our Irish soul,
He cursed the ship that brought us through
To work on the C.P. Railway crew.
The forman's name was Pat McGann,
And b'gosh he was a darn fine man;
One day a premature blast went off
And a mile in the sky went big Jim Gough.
When payday next did come around
Big Jim a dollar short was found;
"What for?" says he: came this reply,
"You're docked for the time you were up in the sky."
Every morning about seven o'clock
There were twenty tarriers drilling at the rock
The boss comes along and he says, "Keep still
And bear down heavy on the cast iron drill"
And drill, ye tarriers, drill
Drill, ye tarriers, drill
For it's work all day for the sugar in you tay
Down beyond the railway
And drill, ye tarriers, drill
And blast, and fire
The boss was a fine man down to the ground
And he married a lady six feet 'round
She baked good bread and she baked it well
But she baked it harder than the hobs of Hell
The foreman's name was John McCann
By God, he was a blamed mean man
Last week a premature blast went off
And a mile in the air went big Jim Goff
And when next payday came around
Jim Goff a dollar short was found
When he asked, "What for?" came this reply
"You were docked for the time you were up in the sky"

TITLE: Tuesday Afternoon
Tuesday afternoon
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away
Something calls to me
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh
I'm looking at myself reflections of my mind
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind
So gently swaying through the fairyland of love
If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of
Tuesday afternoon

I heard this late last night, it's been ages since I heard it, and it's always been one of my favorite songs...
Total Eclipse of the Heart...Album version..
Bonnie Tyler
Turnaround, every now and then I get a
little bit lonely and you're never coming around
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit restless and I dream of something wild
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit helpless and I'm lying like a child in your arms
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit angry and I know I've got to get out and try
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit terrified but then I see the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the light
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
Turnaround bright eyes
Turnaround bright eyes
Turnaround, every now and then I know
you'll never be the boy you always you wanted to be
Turnaround, every now and then I know
you'll always be the only boy who wanted me the way that I am
Turnaround, every now and then I know
there's no one in the universe as magical and wonderous as you
Turnaround, every now and then I know
there's nothing any better and there's nothing I just wouldn't do
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

I actually heard it on my satellite, Direct TV has those music choice channels. So late at night I put them on. They played the album version, which was so much better then the one that was usually played on the radio, not all cut up.

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

I've got that Bonnie Tyler album too. "Faster Than the Speed Of Night," right? It's been a while since I listened to it. Great as it is, it's too close to country for me to get the habit.
Cable has those channels too, but I don't often listen to them. I like being able to choose my music. To do them credit, that's where I discovered Pearl Jam, through "Black," and Crash Test Dummies through "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm". (Still tickled by that title.)
