I'm rewatching Starman right now. Other than being completely bummed out that I'm watching it alone (though glad I'm not watching it with a certain person who loves to talk through the really important and romantic parts of films), I'm struck with how good a film it is. It's a great date film, and a terrific religious allegory as well.

Jeff Bridges should've gotten an Oscar for his performance....At least he was nominated.

Not much into the uber-sappy movies myself, but I really loved "Titanic" (maybe cos the ship sunk?), "Down with Love" and "What Women Want".

"Down with Love"
That's a great movie! We love that! A huge wink to all the Hudson/Day Pillow Talk-type movies. It is very funny!
Good pick!
