Then another one to loan out to Troy to booby trap Guards Gap when Foul's army was pouring in there (TIW)
Then yet a third to Foul's Creche and blast that towering monstrosity right into the ocean.
As for resultant radiation sickness... well they had Aliantha didn't they?
Nice idea. If Covenant could have translated whatever vehicle he was in, then he could have piloted a B-52 filled with Bunker Busters and then...

The one thing I would add here is sunscreen, preferably SPF45 or more, and lip balm. Also, I don't think it's possible to break up these three books as TC didn't return to the real world between them.

I tend to agree in general but the references are aimed at the varying environments that occur in each book. I could lump the second chronicles together but what would be the fun of that?
One more try: Swiss Army Knife.
BTW: Thanks Landwaster. I aim to please.

LOL .. right
romeo wrote:"A towel" is, of course, the right (or at least the best) answer. He could have snapped it at the urviles at the Celebration of Spring. He could have folded it into a thick square, and sat on it in Foamfollower's boat. The possibilities are endless!!!!
lol .. what a visual TC towel snapping urvile butt
romeo wrote:Along those lines... Back in my Navy days, I worked on satellite communications systems. There was a new system coming out that was the most complicated one in the world - and it was my job to write things like concept of operations, requirements documents, etc. for it. Everything about it dripped with engineering terminology and complexity, but I had to explain it to the average Joe Sailor / Joe Soldier. I wrote one document that everyone loved, because it was so simply written and explained. I wanted to take that further and write a technical document that people would actually WANT to read, but to do so it would not have been able to be written in an official "voice". Nothing in the military or government gets anywhere if it's not official-sounding and boring, so the project never went anywhere. But I had fun with it in my spare time, and kept the chapters that I had written - here's the link to it on my (old, dusty, out-of-date-for-over-seven-years, etc.) web site. Enjoy! (don't worry about the techno babble - it's should still be amusing to skim through)
what is this??? lol .. just shameless personal website plugging??? lmao!!
i'm reading and thinking .. like .. mmm .. navy satellite systems, production of technical documentation, kyboshed written project .. mmm .. bla bla blaah .. website!!
keep smiling

Heh heh. Naw - no website plugging. I haven't done that satcom stuff for seven years now. I'm a professional volunteer now, and if I plug THAT, I'll just end up with more things to do.
Ok, how about a chemistry book and a double-barreled shotgun?

A really big mongoose. Also, maybe some Agent Orange and DEET.

I would have settled for some common sense, but if he could have gotten his hands on that handy little mirror that Adept Havelock was toting around which showed a piece of the sun at closeup I think that would have been nice.

LOL! Long time no post, and I just had to put one in here!
IMHO, Covenant could have done worse than bring along a division of Royal Marines and a battallion of Royal Engineering Corps sappers. Just think of the joys they could have prepared all the way up Landsdrop, the constant sniping at commanding ur-viles, the artillery strikes against Fleshharrower, the string of daisy-cutter mines along Doom's Retreat, and, of course, the uplifting sight of a dozen Challenger 3 tanks cutting up yet another ur-vile wedge with 120mm HE(I) rounds and then blasting Foul's Creche to shreds with APFSDS. :)

Or, alternatively, he could have brought a towel...
Multivitamins? Maybe a bulk delivery of Lithium for the siege of Revelstone? Oh, and to go back to something mentioned ages and ages ago, how about THE WHEEL so that the people of the Land could build wagons to help transport the Warward?
