I would use it to help SRD write a little faster if it was at all possible. Would I be able to do that with a staff, or would that be the Illearth Stone?

Use the Staff of Law for most writing, and Illearth Stone for the swearwords.

Well, that's why you set up the Word of Warning and ring your house with a half-dozen Sandgorgons in black tuxedos and radio-headpieces... 8)
