NEW ORLEANS - The Walt Disney Co. has started production on an animated musical fairy tale called “The Frog Princess,” which will be set in New Orleans and feature the Walt Disney Studio’s first black princess.

Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Wow, I never even realized there had never been a black Disney princess before. Interesting.

Oh, I had just assumed that live one with Brandy in it was from disney.

It's not animated anyway, so I guess it wouldn't really count.
