Shouldn't "Waddley" be in there somewhere? Where's Elfie with her mad skillz when we need her? ;)

Say, Wadds, what days are you going to fly in, and leave? I'm trying to triangulate this for how many days I will need off. And by the way, when I looked at the Barcelona Court earlier, it looked as if it is booked up for that weekend. Anyone know anything about that?

Well, maybe a little bit.
Ah, but it's not a matter of her tempting you. That's a given. We've all seen her pics. The question is...

Cail, you'd better plan on bringing that kilt. Or else there would some disappointed ladies. ;)

Well we definitely can't have that.

Now then: let's talk about cars from Denver.

I don't mind renting a car. But I'm not going back to Denver. It's about $140 to rent a car from Denver for the round-trip (actually, Travelocity shows the cheapest compact is $128.61 from Payless, picking up on Thursday, 5/31, and returning on Monday, 6/4).

The one-way charge, however, is more than $340 (compact from Alamo, picking up 5/31 in Denver and returning Tuesday, 6/5, in Albuquerque). I'm already planning to rent a car for the Santa Fe trip, for about $60. But that's still a huge difference.

I am willing to kick in $100, cash money, for the cost of a car rental, if somebody else who's going round-trip from Denver will rent the darn thing.

I've planned on renting a car, at least Impala sized. I think we have to see how many are going through Denver. I'm thinking we'll probably need 2 cars unless we can find a van at a reasonable price.

I would say count me in for Denver, but I still haven't made my flight reservations. I only have about half the funds to pay for the ticket so far.

Yeah, see, that's the other thing about having me rent the car. I like little cars.

Damelon, I was assuming that any car I would reserve would be the 2nd car. But man, it's going to be expensive....

A van might not be a bad idea. Travelocity has a minivan from Budget for $245 for the round-trip to and from Denver. Again, I'm happy to kick in $100 for the rental. That brings the price pretty close to what a full-size car would be, I think. But it does depend on how many folks are coming.

And I like the larger cars. I need room to stretch my legs. :)

Keep in mind, though, geographic and mileage restrictions when pricing cars. It doesn't do us any good to have a 150 miles per day restriction.

I did a quick check and there's a steep upwards curve towards renting a van. I'm guessing we'll be better off getting a couple of cars

Just a note on kilts in the desert....Kilts are roughly 8 yards of 20 ounce wool. The last thing in the world you want to wear in the desert. Talk about being warm and gooey.........

FYI, Barcelona Court is filled for this weekend. I just went online to get my reservations but they are booked. Greg and I will have to stay elsewhere.

Danlo, what other hotels are around there?
