Ha! Well, if I'm remembering correctly, one of them gets royally screwed, and the other one gets royally screwed, too. I'd rather be the latter than the former. Does that help?

Finished finally!!!
About Brienne, Murrin wrote:
Spoiler
Can't be dead. If the word she shouted was Jaime, I'll be sorely disappointed. If Brienne is not cut down, then her story served no purpose but to tell us the fate of Sandor Clegane, and I can't believe that would be the only reason for it.
Spoiler
I think the Blackfish will happen by and cut them down. Since when did Gendry become such a hardass?
Spoiler
I believe that the Dog is alive, as well, and that the 'knight of the seashells' is also alive and will have a major role to play...so Jamie came out of the womb after Cersie?---Davos' death has to be a ploy by Manderly--after all I attended Martin's read about Davos' encounter with him and fully expect it to appear in Dances...

given some of the replies, it now seems pretty obvious that Gregor Clegane is the warrior that Qyburn offered to have fight for Cersei...the one that "no one can beat", or whatever he said...

id be willing to bet that the word that Brienne screamed was "Arya", since she had recently learned that she was still most likely alive...pretty much the only words that would get them to stop for a minute...besides bran or rickon(but only a few people know theyre still alive)...

everybodies guesses and conspiracies are so much better than mine...

i too had thought that Jaime would be the one to kill Cersei...Tyrions too obvous...and i think Martins giving us too many queens to swim through to get to the one that the prophecy is talking about...

seems to me that a Song of Ice and Fire will have about..i dunno...12 more books the WOT...

and speaking of Ice, how come Martin never made mention of the fact that Illyn Payne had Eddard Starks sword? or was it made into another one...i know that a sword was made to give to...i dunno..i read the other book like a year and a half ago...

Feast ( or mabye SOS, i forget ) Spoiler :
Spoiler
Tywin had Ice reforged into two Valayrian Steel blades for Jaime and Joffery. They were named Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail ( i think ;)) Jaime gave Oathkeeper to Brienne. I assume Tommen now has Joff's blade.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.

Spoiler

I'm pretty convinced about Gregor being re-animated / brought back to life.

Are you guessing about Brienne's shout or do you know somehow? 8O

Spoiler
She sent them the head of a dwarf--probably one of the false Tyrions arested--because it was big enough to be mistaken for Gregor's.
And Gregor was given into Qyburn's hands at the end. Qyburn, the man kicked out of the Citadel for necromancy...

Theres a couple of theories it think:
Spoiler
Cersei names Ungregor as her Champoin in a Trail by Combat against the faith. The Faith, in turn, the name the newlt reformed - If indeed he is reformed - Sandor as their Champion.

Or perhaps a Combination on Jaime and the Hound, will take him on. Perhaps due to the dream Bran had early in AGOT, where he saw a Hound and a Golden man, fighting a gaint in stone armour.
[/spoiler]

Wow!!! Good catch! I don't know why, for the life of me I missed that part...maybe it's because I'm still miffed at Gendry...

Hmm. Very interesting. I was about to just correct you and say he saw the third figure just looming above the other two, all three threats to the Starks; but then I remembered something about it: The giant was described as "a giant in armor made of stone, but when he opened his visor, there was nothing inside but darkness and thick black blood".
So Jaime no longer fits the image of him that Bran saw (he's changed too much; the beautiful, golden figure just isn't him any more), and Sandor has given up, in a way. But Gregor is only now becoming the figure in the vision: for example, didn't Qyburn order a suit of armour heavier than any man could bear?

Now for my predictions.
Spoiler
I believe Jaime will kill the Gregor/Falyse/puppeteer golem. He trains everyday with Ser Ilyn, and by my calculations, his travels from King's Landing to Darry, then Darry to Riverrun took about six months. Probably another six months to reach Blackwood, force the issue, and reach King's Landing.

Then, after killing Gregor, Jaime forces Cersei to confess all her lies. In madness for all her betrayal, he chokes her to death.

I also believe that Arya will be hired to kill Dany! Don't ask how or why, it's just a hunch.

Arya will, at some point command a communal link with the giant wolf pack near the Trident. These will be used to combat the wights.

Victarion will gain control of Drogon, and it will seem that the Kraken has won, until Bran enters its skin and wrests away control.

Jon will wield the true Lightbringer.
"Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high ideals."

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

On the subject of PoVs, did Martin ever confirm that Theon would be returning?

I dont think he did explicitly, however IIRC there's noone else who can return. He's the only possiblility - unless im wrong heh.
