Ok, Wylde hasn't replied to me yet about hotel stuffs so I'm just going to go ahead and do my thang 'till I hear back from her.
The caravan is leaving Denver on thursday, correct? Will I need a hotel thursday night or friday? And when is the caravan heading back to Denver?

Wadds, not from what I understand.
We're staying overnight in Denver Thursday to accomodate everyone's arrival time. I know I wouldn't want to make a six hour drive starting at four in the afternoon or later...
We're headed back to Denver Monday morning, I believe. So a later flight is probably advisable.
Damelon? Aliantha? Is that correct?

Yup yup, that's the plan: leave on Friday morning for Albuquerque. It's about a six-hour drive, so if we want to get in by dinner-ish, we'd have to leave, what, 9am-ish? 10am-ish?
MagickMaker and I are staying at a B&B in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. We're contemplating seeing "Wicked" at the Denver Performing Arts Center on Thursday night. (That is, I mentioned it to her and she wants to go. I haven't yet bought tickets....) There's also a new addition to the Denver Art Museum that we might check out. It's designed by Frank Gehry and it's supposed to be pretty wild -- none of the walls are plumb, etc. And of course we'll make a stop at our all-time fave independent bookstore, the Tattered Cover in LoDo.
I know that Damelon's planning to see the Rockies on Thursday night, but past that I dunno his plans.

Ooo...
Seeing 'Wicked' to start off this weekend sounds awesome. I hope y'all enjoy!
I have an online friend I've known for nearly a decade whom I have never met that lives in the Denver area. I am hopeful her three daughters schedules are such that we can arrange a brief IRL, maybe lunch or window shopping if I know where to meet Damelon after, at some point on Thursday.

Since I'm not sure I'll be able to afford all this hotellyness, I think my best bet would be to catch a super super horrible red eye and arrive in Denver in the early morning on friday. Would the caravan's path be able to pick me up from the airport, or should I just catch a cab/bus to whoever's place we're meeting at??

I'm sure somebody can swing by and pick you up, Wadds. Or, depending on your arrival time, you could catch the RTD bus from the airport to downtown and we could pick you up there (it's $8 one-way, www.rtd-denver.com/skyRide). We're not organized enough to have picked a meeting place for Friday morning yet....Waddley Hasselhoff wrote:Since I'm not sure I'll be able to afford all this hotellyness, I think my best bet would be to catch a super super horrible red eye and arrive in Denver in the early morning on friday. Wadds, my hotel in Denver is being provided by one of the many Watchers who are making this trip posible for me. AFAIK, right now I am alone Thursday night. Perhaps we could double up? I don't know if that would make the room price too much, and must warn you that I have been told I "snore like a buzzsaw..."Waddley Hasselhoff wrote:Since I'm not sure I'll be able to afford all this hotellyness, I think my best bet would be to catch a super super horrible red eye and arrive in Denver in the early morning on friday. I get there at 12:30, so I'll grab some lunch and wait for your flight to arrive - then I'll drive us all to the hotel.Fist and Faith wrote:Friday, June 1:

Thanks! Renting a car wouldn't be a problem, I guess, but I doubt there's much need, since we won't likely be going anywhere the rest of you aren't going to be, so...
dlb and I have been talking on our cells for a couple years now, but here you go, Romeo: [pm]
