I'm not convinced that those four are really "the" four. There could be other explanations, and there are too many other people that it could (or should) be. What's up with Roslyn and those dreams? And Baltar HAS to be a cylon. Then there's Leoban's earlier statement of, "Adama is a cylon," that I think will still play out in some way. And ... I have to say it, although it seems ridiculous since she was sent to a Farm ... Kara.
If it was as simple as they said - one day a switch is turned on - then you'd think they would get some kind of instructions as part of that. I think they're jumping to the wrong conclusions - but it will be the decisions that they make despite the fact that they think they're cylons that will be important.
I don't think I ever had so much respect for Tigh, though. They (the writers) yanked him around so much that it's good to see the character get a moral or ethical break like that.

And what's up with the Smallville-type music toward the end? With lyrics and everything. VERY un-BG-ish.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

Well, I know what you mean. But I was expecting the cylon fleet to play a role in this ep, not show up in the last ten seconds. And now we have to wait until 2008?!?!?!?? Are you frakkin' kidding me???? A none-month wait?????dlbpharmd wrote:Let down? Holy frak! That episode rocked!

Kara. Looks to me like she's fulfilling all three of the things Romeo heard would happen this season. She finds out she's a cylon; she died; she found earth. Did it say it had to be three different characters doing those things?

However, it might not be them. Xena only seemed surprised by one. I'd think those five would have surprised her at least a couple times.

Think about it, Saul's got a 40-year career. How the Hell could he be a Cylon? Gotta wonder about the Chief as well.

Well, the chief was having those dreams and got talked out of beliving he was a Cylon by Brother Cavil...
Sam I have suspected for quite some time because he wasn't an obvious choice, but, was very connected to Kara. When we saw the final 5, I was even more convinced, because I couldn't thiink of who else she would be apologizing to that would be so inobvious
Saul doesn't really seem right at all what with his long career and his aging, it seems kinda random. I suspected Gaeta as soon as the series began when he beat the Cylon Computer Virus, but, I let go of it at the beginning of S3, when it still hadn't played out.
Tori, I don't really know well, so, can't really make a judgement there.

Again, thanks for spoilering things everybody. I read what dlb said and refrained from reading the subsequent spoilers. Good to hear that at least some people are enjoying what sounds like an inconsistent Season Three.dlbpharmd wrote:Let down? Holy frak! That episode rocked! I never for a second suspected those four! Personally, I'm assuming that dlb's tantalising post means that four people have been revealed as Cylons and that there must be an as yet unrevealed fifth. You've given me months of entertaining but fruitless conjecture there, dlb.

My guesses (not guesses really, I was absolutely positive

When I saw the mini-series and the first episodes I was sure that Billy and Dualla were attracted to each other because (even if they didn't know it) they were Cylons. I was sure that was the reason that Billy pointed out to Laura that the little girl she had met had been on a ship with no FTL-drive, had been left behind was now dead due to her decision. As a result I didn't like Billy, and I was surprised and touched when he died a hero. I'm still not sure about Dualla.

The problem with the chief being a Cylon is that (assuming his wife Cally is human) there now is another hybrid baby on Galactica.
My biggest problem with last night's episode (and for that matter, the entire show itself) is that sometimes things are way too Earthlike. Hendrix's "All along the Watchtower" is the signal to activate a sleeper? WTF?

OK, yeah, the Hendrix thing was just stupid.

I didn't recognize the song. But if it is indeed an Earth song, maybe it's resonating from a radio signal sent from Earth. If so, they're only 30 light years or so from their goal.
The worst part was the "more in 2008" message. Arghhhh!!!!
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.
I thought that the Cylons expressedly weren't clones of actual humans.
But I could be remembering that wrong.

My theory would be that they created an electronic or paper trail to account for Boomers past. They then created her with all these fake memories and a block that didnt allow her to know she was a cylon. She enters the service and officer training. (Keep in mind that they have not been at war for decades and the background checks had become lax, which is common during peace-time) By the time she gets assigned to a Battlestar she might have been in the service for a few years.Romeo wrote:
How do people get to be cylons? Are they kidnapped and cloned - but in cylon form instead of human? Boomer, for example, had been in the fleet for two years before the attack - and that two year window seems to come up several times. But before that she would have had to have some kind of documented life - or else she would not have been accepted into the fleet
I'm excited to see Commander Caine again. A very interesting part of the post SciFi Channel put up is that it's set in the past with Pegasus, but, is very relevant to S4. (Paraphrased)dlbpharmd wrote:I read last night that Moore is involved in making a 2 hour movie for Sci-Fi channel about the Pegasus.
