I didn't send it to him, but he did receive it from someone. And he IS pretty pissed off about it. Not the April Fools joke part, but the fact that it is a lot closer than you'd believe to the real thing. So he thinks that someone sent out the first chapter (or more) already. And there are are only, to my knowledge, two people who could have done that - and I'm sure neither one has ... or would. *sigh*
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

Well, if you are serious about that, you really should tell him that I have no advanced copy... I just made that all up on my own.
(And if you're serious, then woah, I'm pretty good, heh.)

Check the main page of the official site. You can start reading the book on April 9th.
And that's no joke - I have the page set up to automatically provide the link to the PDF file when the server date (Eastern US time) is on or after April 9th (since I'm out of town at the moment and don't want to risk forgetting to change the page). (But I haven't uploaded the PDF file yet - and noone would be able to find it since I randomized the filename - which really makes me wonder how Jay got a copy.)

I'm slightly late....
Is this still available? Or has it been taken down? I get a blank browser screen when i click that link.

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

Ok, so even though it's not the actual chapter, it's got me very very frustrated.
All I want to know is how Covenant has Jeramiah. I'm sure there are probably threads with theories, but I just want the damn book. I haven't actively thought about it since I finished Runes and now you've got me stuck on it again.
Thank a lot, jay. Punk.

Seriously? Wait, so SRD is mad that he has intelligent readers who can take a good stab at where he's going with a story based on his previous writings? Umm...

I have to say, if Romeo's not kidding, and it's the plot point I'm thinking of, how did anybody not see it coming? And if he is kidding, then I'll be disappointed because that was the plot point I want to see.kevinswatch wrote:I have the feeling that Romeo is just jerking our chains.
If Fatal Revenant really is that easy to predict, and if any of those absurd things happen, then we're in a lot of trouble in terms of SRD's writing ability, heh.
I am curious to hear how SRD honestly thought about it, though.-jay

Of course, maybe it's all to do with that other plot point toward the end, in which case I'm just scared...
