I feel good. Ready to end the semester. Just two reports (one a five-pager and the other 10 pages).

Sipping a little coffee here in the warm library. Got a cold spell up here in northwest Georgia; even had some snow late Friday evening!

I had the best. weekend. ever.

But I'm upset that everyone is reading the FR preview and I can't join in cause I won't read it. You guys suck. :P

I'm cranky right now. I had a customer call and beg me to take in a car for a used car inspection at 11:30. I normally won't schedule anything with customers waiting later than 11 because then it interrupts our lunchbreak which we take at 12:30. The customer swore up and down that he would be on time and not mess up our break and so he shows up just a few minutes ago at 11:52. So...now my tech has to take a late lunch too.... grrr. And I can't just make the customer wait because not only is he waiting, but the guy who is selling the car we are inspecting for our customer is waiting too....
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I won't ask, because, well, what happens in Vegas, yada yada.

Yes. I'm tempted to read it so that I don't miss out on the discussions. But, otherwise, I'd wait, so that I can savor reading chapter one immediately after cracking my new book in the middle and smelling the sweet aroma of newly printed pages and binding glue. Mmm...

Oh, will you wusses just read it already. You're going to read it sooner or later anyway. You might as well just get a taste of it now and read the whopping 5 page preview. It's not like it's going to spoil anything...it's the first 5 freaking pages of the book. It's going to be the first thing you read no matter what. It's not going to kill you. :P -jay

Nope, I'm not even tempted to read it. It's not that, at all. I just wish I could talk about it with y'all... but that's fine :) I will until it's released.

It was the best. weekend. ever. and it didn't include anything even remotely naughty. How's that for super sweet, huh?!

Jay, some people, once they get passed age 4, can enjoy anticipation. :P

Wads, if it doesn't involve men, then it must have involved chocolate or icecream. Nothing else would evoke such a comment. :D

I can't understand why you read the preview. You knew you weren't going to enjoy it (and I knew that the rest of us would hear about it for ages).
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

I had the shittiest.weekend.ever.

I'm ill. Throat is killing me. Hacking cough. Fever & chills all easter weekend.

It's production week for our concert series. I'm f*cked - won't be able to sing in the semi chorus - I'll probably barely be able to squawk through the main chorus! Been healthy as bar a few migraines throughout the rehearsal schedule, now THIS...

Why NOW?

I'm still going to Melbourne though. Maybe I can paralyze the hacking cough enough to get up to scratch by next week. Gonna chugalug cough syrup til I drop.

I know JUST how you feel. I had a terrible throat infection during one of my concerts, and the Tenor Two's had to join some of the one's. It sucked.

Good vibes from here too! |G

Oh, Elfie! So sorry to hear it. Try some zinc--it comes in lozenges, or in other forms too. In the US there is a product called Zicam--I tried it the last time I came down with an evil cold, and I was better the next day. |G

As for me. . . I feel disenchanted. The handsome guy who appeared to all that. . . isn't so much. He's a little weird--kept staring at me incessantly, even when I began avoiding eye contact. And I don't think he was enthralled with me particularly. . . just kept staring at me as though he was trying to dissect my brain and figure out what makes me tick--and again, it wasn't charming. And. . . then he got onto his favorite subject--himself. Everything he said seemed to be about how great he was. . . and machismo seemed to be the underlying theme to the entire 35 minute conversation I had with him (though another friend was there listening for about 15 minutes). It was all. . . "When I was in the army". . . "When I welded iron on skyscrapers I wasn't a bit scared to walk on the exposed girders". . . etc.

I don't know. . . maybe he is a nice guy, and perhaps a good fit for some else--just not me. I don't go for arrogant, self-absorbed guys. :?

Another crush officially over. And not a minute too soon.

Yeah. . . I'll do my best to never be alone with him. I've never known Sylar to eat a person's brain while in public. :D
