I'm really in love with the Discovery album. I have it on record, but I still haven't been able to find an amp, so I'm stuck with CD. :?

Those guy rock. I am SO glad that my parents exposed me to their music, it ruined me for most of my generations'! Yay!

I've decided that Steely Dan goes in my top five favorite artists.

Thanks Luci! :D

HA! Saxon kicks ass.

"Come On" by Whitesnake, live at the Hammersmith, 23 november 1978.

They finally released the double live LP "Live In The Heart Of The City" completely, on 2 cds.

I'm currently listening to the Noir soundtrack. A slightly odd combination of faux-classical strings, choral vocals and vaguely techno-y stuff. Not usually my kind of thing, but this soundtrack has atmosphere.

(^looks like something Nor Yekkith inspired!)

Currently, Flogging Molly's Swagger. Their weakest album, IMHO.

I'm listening to the Gossip's album. It's much better than I was expecting from a band that's attracted so much media attention for non-musical reasons (which in itself is usually a very bad sign indeed). This is quite a pleasantly varied record, most of which is less raw than the first single, Standing in the Way of Control. It makes a nice change from the wave of new bands in recent years who produce a first album that is almost entirely homogenous, although the Gossip are only new to the UK.

Musically this is a sparse, with most tracks only having the signature atonal guitar and drums (the drumming is a quite crude, but gets the job done). All this leaves more room for Beth Ditto's vocals, which are superb.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

I am unapologetically watching/listening to ACDC Live at Donington. Screw art, screw highbrow, I just need some loud, kick ass hard rock music right now and ACDC is delivering the goods
