Very interesting.

Why was Bana dumped? I thought he played it well.

So did I. I'm a big Norton fan, but I don't think he's right for this role.

IMO, Bana was the best thing about Hulk (after Jennifer Connelly, heh) but it doesn't surprise me that the Banner role has been re-cast. I get the impression the makers of the new Hulk film are trying to distance themselves from the other one, so a change of cast makes sense. Could be a lot worse than Norton, too.

I agree with the notion that this is more a "do over" than a sequel or a HULK 2. It follows that the new creative team have a different idea about their actors than what Ang Lee had. Norton is a terrific actor and a terrific choice for the role. This HULK might be good enough to make us forget about...you know...dang I've forgotten.

Well, it's an interesting choice. I agree that Bana was good, but unfortunately also tied with the 'other' Hulk film. I wonder who this film will approach the Hulk himself; one of the things I did like about the 'other' movie was the Hulk never talked, which I guess is because the television Hulk never spoke, either. But he did talk in Banner's dream, which is consistent with the comic Hulk....anyway, I'm interested in who they pick for the other roles; Jennifer Love-Hewett kind of fits the comic Betty; I have no idea who they should get to play the Abomination, though. His alter-ego is Emil Blonski, and I believe he was Russian spy, so I guess they could hire a 007 baddie-type to play him. I have to admit what I really want to see is this film doing well enough for them to do a sequal, with the Leader in it.
