Berek was the only High Lord.
Berek never saw Covenant's ring.
Berek is the only one who touched the Staff of Law.
Berek...
huh?
Oh, it's not Berek?

LOL F&F and no Dromond.

Think outside the Land.

Also, in the criteria I've got squirrelled away in my head, Of the four who do fit the criteria, Berek fits it by the loosest interpretation.

Good enough!

All the others either appear in the real world (Linden), or we're pretty damn sure they appear in the real world (Creator), or at least a shade of them appears in the real world (Foul), or at the very least somebody refers to them as though they had appeared in the real world (Berek).

Infelice was nothing but an insular xenophobe :)

Congrats Dromond!

A stretch, but Mistweave is the only Giant not given a first and last name (though I don't recall Pitchwife's given name ever mentioned, though I did find him calling himself "Pitchwife the Valorous").
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

No, nothing to do with names or order of appearance, or anything like that.

Good guess, Furls! No. Training has nothing to do with this aspect of being a Giant.

Thanks to his deformity Pitchwife is the shortest. I'm guessing thats too obvious.

Oh I know. Mistweave has by far the least dialog in the context of the story. Too vague? :-)

Here's another obvious answer: Foam is not directly from Home

Or (if u're subtely dropping a clue with Way) Foam never met Hamako and/or fought w/the Waynhyn
