If you say so. I think it's a solid album.

I think you mean the studio tracks on the Keys to Ascension albums. Open Your Eyes was mostly a Chris Squire / Billy Sherwood "Conspiracy" style thing which they brought the rest of the Yes guys into. It's not really that bad, but by Yes standards, it was bad.

I'm a HUGE Queen fan, but yeah, "Hot Space" pretty much sucked.Phantasm wrote:Queens "Hot Space" was a dud, IMHO.

You mean Open Your Eyes? I understand. Try KTA... I think you'd like it. You can find it as "Keysstudio" which is all the new songs on one CD w/out the live stuff.Usivius wrote:![]()
you are probably right. It is not one of the Yes albums I have listened to ... well, since I bought it.

I guess I like about half of Magnification. Some of the orchestration is really annoying.Usivius wrote:Fairly regularily I listen to "Fragile" "Close to the Edge" "Relayer" and beleive it or not, I really like "Magnification"

U2's "Achtung Baby", "Zooropa", and "Pop".

Call me protective of my U2. In all honesty, I think they lost it after "War", though there were a couple of bright spots on "The Unforgettable Fire" and "The Joshua Tree".

Took me a while to get into "Achtung Baby", but I eventually realised it had some great stuff.Cail wrote:Call me protective of my U2. In all honesty, I think they lost it after "War", though there were a couple of bright spots on "The Unforgettable Fire" and "The Joshua Tree".
"Rattle & Hum" sucked big-time. Zooropa had the Johnny Cash collaboration to redeem it.
But "The Unforgettable Fire" was their best work, IMHO.
The title track is about as good as music gets. And the first few bars of "Bad"...
Although, I would understand your viewpoint better if you had said that "New Year's Day" was a track they could never hope to repeat...
Loved the live version of "Electric Co." on "Under a Blood Red Sky" as well...
I don't think U2 could ever top any of the songs that are on "Under a Blood Red Sky". That's a fantastic live album.

"Tattoo You" was the last decent Stones album.
"Steel Wheels" was horrible.

Its funny I never thought I'd hear someone else have the same opinion of U2. I've always thought that the band seemed to evolve from something I loved to something I could do without after UF. I did like some of the tracks from JT but the band moved away from what I liked about them in the first place. Oh well. Nothing ever stays the same.Cail wrote:Call me protective of my U2.
