I don't dislike Orlando Bloom; I'm indifferent to him. But he is so far from James Bond that I'd laugh if I wasn't in a library.

As for...other men...you clearly just have no taste. Whatsoever.

Orlando Bloom should play Elric of Melnibone; let's leave Bond in Daniel Craig's hands for a while.

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion

Urgh, it's three hours long. That seems a little excessive.

Seeing it this afternoon!
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Its good, but certainly not great.
Spoiler
couple of things that annoyed me:

If Barbossa was just a normal guy on Jack Sparrows ship, before he stole the Pearl from him, why is he a Pirate Lord?

The Jack Sparrow talking to himslef got a bit old when there was about 10 of him talking nonsense.

There was too many ''deals'' being made aswell, the double-double-double crossing got annoying.

I like Jack Sparrow and barbossa, however Will and Elizabeth both got on my ****. If they do a 4th movie - which the ending looks to have set up - they shouldnt be in it.

How did the kracken die? I would have liked to see that, instead we just find its corpse. :?

OTOH: I liked the backstory to Davey Jones and his crew were still cool.
The fight scenes were pretty good, although i dont think as good as the previous films.

Went to see it yesterday. The film is pretty much what I expected. IMHO it follows a proud tradition in many trilogies. First one Great! Second one (middle chapter) maybe not so great but serves a purpose. Third one. Better than the second but not quite as good as the first. All in all though the Pirates trilogy has been quite a lot of fun. I expect there could be more or they could let it drop here.

Ah, so it follows the law of trilogies? Fair enough. I might actually bother to see it then.

Yes, I thought about that with Barbossa, too. However we really don't know much about his backstory before the original mutiny... or during his time as a cursed immortal while he wasn't collecting coins.

Oh my gosh, what a waste of time. Loved the Orig. Good couple of battle scenes; I should have brought something to read the rest of the time.
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.
