She'd prolly break a tooth on it.

OK, you've succeeded in selecting the worst possible Linden. :)

I still liked the idea of Jodi Foster, though as time goes by she's falling out of the right generation.

I'm not sure anyone currently in their mid-30's has the right look and enough skill. Fortunately, there are several younger performers who would probably be OK by the time anyone even considers making the 2nd Chronicles...

And no, Paris isn't one of them! ;)

Paris as Linden... hehhehe! Tragic, and yet damn funny as well! But she's no Linden, she looks way too much like a barbie doll. I have no doubts that she can act though ;)

As to who seriously would make for a good Linden, I'm currently stumped.

I thought I posted a post in here earlier today for Naomi Watts ... but no bother, she's here now, I second the motion.

This is TC and Linden in my minds eye.

I third the motion. Yes, with a minor effort of imagination, I could easily pretend that still from King Kong was from a Covenant movie. Just replace the gun-wielding guy in the background with a Haruchai and there you go...

I could go for Naomi Watts as Linden. I could go for Naomi Watts as just about anything.

Too pretty. And Innocent Looking. We're talking about Dr. Linden Avery, here. She had a pretty f'd up childhood, and has seen alot of horrible things, both in her personal life and (presumably) in her professional life. The actress who plays her shouldn't look like she doesn't have a care in the world. Of course, Laura Dern may be a bit too old now.

This is a movie, not a book. If the female lead isn't sexilicious you may as well not bother with the movie, because you're going to lose $$.

Linden's supposed to be a babe anyway, right? Or was before Runes?

The girl who was in Hide and Go Seek and Man on Fire could be kiddy Linden in the flashbacks. She does a pretty good job as a troubled ten-year old :(
