I'll need to hook up with Damelon so we can share a room and match schedules as close as possible. I'll also need to watch more than one ep. to have any clue of what y'all will be talking about.
Cool!!
I'll send you my info on the hotel.

The more the merrier DLB! We just finished filming the final touches for ep 40. There's a little something I have dreamed of doing for several years now and we finally filmed it! I am totally stoked. Nicholas rocked Lord Foul so well! It's gonna rule. We did have some lighting issues with the camera though. Too much natural light saturation caused the light adjuster to go a little haywire. Oh well, it will just look more stylized. I'm just happy that after all these years of dreaming it in my head it's now on film and soon to be edited. I don't know why it gives me such a thrill that MY Lord Foul is an unabashed gay opera singer. Oh the joy!

Well, episode 40 is SRD as an expert on the whole book and will feature a bonus "action sequence" musical piece that I have been dreaming of for years.

He was fully warmed up and rolling HIGH-sterical by the time we got to the entire book. I was laughing myself into tears and belly cramps during the first edit.

the episode itself exceeds even your high standards! I about had an infarction with the "Fire-Lions" appeared. Although I should have seen them coming, considering how they were summoned.... And I'm relieved to see that I supplied more energy than I did as Higgins O'Higgins. We did have some fun! I wish I could think of an appropriate way to thank you all.
Fondly,
Steve

If you guys ever get the chance, and I hope you do, to meet us in person, you will know that it is impossible to be serious and glum around us. Just ask Lucimay, she'll tell ya!

The "Sweet Valley High" game? The one where we changed the charactors to our own pictures and changed the things you had to collect to go to prom to things like a handgun and tampons? I love that game....My prom date was Steven Tyler of Aerosmith....good times...oh and we changed the rules and stuff so there was some drinking involved and some other stuff.

Okay - it's KILLING me. The FBH crew will be doing a space opera next - right? Despite Steve's gentle nudging in the final episode, there are no plans to continue with The Illearth War?
Well. I just got back from vacation, and I'm going through the 62 DVR'd episodes of Dharma and Greg, and had an idea. (by the way - is it more sad that I have 62 episodes of D&G DVR'd, or that I didn't get hooked on the show until about a month ago?) There IS no such thing as coincidence, right? So D&G is set in San Francisco and centers around the cultural differences between the two families. Living near DC, I thought it might be funny to do something in the opposite direction with The Illearth War (keeping the momentum generated by FBH, but not being a copy cat <grin>). How about something that reviews the book - or the events in the book - in a Jon Daily Show or Colbert Report style? The action sequences could be news-style filmings, interviews, reports, etc.
Now, Patty will probably kill me - or at least kick me out of the house - for saying this, but I'm willing to coordinate everything. (and if she doesn't kill me for that, she surely will once I trick her into a SF visit in order to play a space vixon in one of the future FBH episodes) I can get a High Def camera, figure out blue screening and sfx stuff, build the basic news set, etc. (notice to those who are willing to take me in - I've been unemployed for eleven years, and *still* wouldn't be able to let you see the draft chapters that Steve sends to me <grin>)
Any other ideas? Brainstorms? Etc.? A format like this might help with production since others might be able to film their own "field reports" and send them in. And we don't need to just do News things, but everything needs to be as stuffy and official as "two girls in bed" is not. Like taking video from CSPAN coverage of Congress to represent meetings in the Close, Johny Carson-type guest interviews (with book characters - since we're treating them like they're real and it's news and not a story), etc.
