What you have written is good clearfrontier.
Maybe it would have been better if it was more detailed, like your other work.

i know that I am often tempted to rush when writing because I want to get to the exiting bits, but in doing this the quality of my writting suffers; I'm not sure wheather this applies to you or not but it was definantly not as descriptive as your other work.

Saying this, I very much enjoyed reading it, and I pray for the day that my writing reaches your standard.

I still havn't got time to read everything youv'e posted, but I will.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for reading Hierachy. I have a stable of old work I've put a little polish on that I thought would be interesting for the Anthology. This fic was something I was toying with that merges my "Chronicles of the U.S.S. Forrestal" world with Jurrasic Park, I guess. I've always though it needed more color. It makes more sense when you already have a background with the whole Forrestal world. :-)

Thats probably it. I just didn't have the background info

by the way, wouldn't anthony have been a bit more hurt after falling from well above the t-rex's head?

" A painful thud " seems to let him off a bit lightly to me.

That is actually pretty funny hierachy. I hadn't thought of that and I busted out laughing when I read your post.
Lemme see.
Since the T-Rex was forced to bend all the way down to snag our hapless hero, he might have been spared a plummet equaling the full height of the dino in question. Lets say he fell no more than 10 to 12 feet to the lush greenery below. Or perhaps he fell upon the relatively soft pile of smoking dinosaur meat that lay upon the ground below him. Either way he’s not too badly off. I've been reminded by dAN that its possible the planet on the other side of the portal might have a lower gravity than say Earth and therefore a fall from 20 feet or more wouldn't have the impact it normally would.

...Or Bishop landed in dense vegetation, or the rain-soaked soil cushioned his fall, or the concussion of the blast of his Illudium Q Explosive Space Modulator slowed Bishop's descent, or whatever. What really matters is that the T-rex got his just due. I say we kill 'em all.

Well, on earth at least you got your wish thanks to an asteroid impact a few million years ago. Sounds to me like you would have rather put them down personally. I admire your courage. :R
