I'm feeling great! Starting to finally enjoy my summer, now that my body is on the way to recovery. I'm currently 154 pounds, and I'm filling out pretty darn well--not just the tummy area. I suppose my taste for constant exercise has helped me in that.
I'm also going to take a shorter schedule this fall: maybe four classes on Monday-Wednesday-Friday and no classes on Tuesday-Thursdays. I think that'd be the best. I keep working myself too hard; I need to remember that college is a vacation, relative to the real world.

Yay LF! That is so good to hear.
So far, today is better than yesterday. But, I've only been up for about an hour. That's as late as I've slept in in a long time. I guess I needed that.
Hyperception just helped me switch out the phone cord I use for my dial-up access, as the phone jack is behind my dresser. Many Watchers have heard me complain about constant booting as well as slow connection. Well yesterday I kept getting an error message that the modem had no dial-tone. Rebooting helped yesterday, but not this morning, so he suggested we try a new cord.
The modem worked as soon as we switched the lines and so far my connection seems stable. Maybe I'll be able to try joining in Literati again...
***edit three minutes later***

Spoke too soon. The connection is as unreliable as ever...

God damn. I just lost my place in the Astrophysics course because the university refuses to accept my deferrment. Deferrment is only for people just finishing high school.

Financial aid deferrment, Lore? Or another kind? Paul has had to deal with financial deferrment every semester. While I am sure University there is very different, if there is any guidance he can give you just let me know.Loremaster wrote:God damn. I am so sorry, either way.

Thanks. It's because the new job is full time. At the end of the 3month contract, I will be going part time so I can study.

Back again...
Lore, Paul wants to know if this program will let you sign up for one fundamental course in the program, possibly even a distance learning course done via the internet, so you do actually begin on your original start date. Then, when you can switch to the part time hours at work, you can add more courses.
Is that feasible at your school?

Fundamentals at the start, then streams follow in years 2 and 3. But I cant study while working full time. I will have to wait until start of next year.Menolly wrote:Back again...
