I drove through part of Yellowstone on my way to Montana a few years ago. It was gorgeous! The most impressive part to me, was coming around a corner on a mountain, and suddenly there's this great vista below you - the living forest suddenly stops, and you have a panorama of the path of the great forest fire, back in '87 (?) It was so sad, but still beautiful in a completely diffferent way. The trees were mostly still standing, but they were dead and white, with no foliage, and 12 years worth of new growth and baby trees were green and alive at their feet. It was very awe inspiring, like a ghost forest in places.
I also had to stop and open my door to gape at the baby Grizzly walking down the side of the road. We're talking like 350 lb baby bear. Some fools were inching as close as they could get to take pictures, to within 10 feet or so. I contented myself with just leaning out of my door for a shot. I figured, where there's a baby bear, there's probably a mama bear not far away. Beautiful creature though!
SO....er, what were we talking about? Oh!
Um...BAD AUSSEE AUSTRIA
Sorry.

"Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet."
