Hmmmm .... perhaps you have picked up Vengance as well ... While I understand your wrath at Nor's mutation ... I myself withheld. Cousin Melirelle was convincing before the Turn ... how can WE judge the actions of mutated followers when they are NOT under the whip of the Master of Malice. Can Honor truely find them guilty prior to seeing their actions under their new Mistress?

I enjoy DESTRUCTION, CHAOS, and SUFFERING!! It powers me!! I do NOT ask you to stop - that is NOT my place - tho Melirelle has the right to ask Law to judge your actions.

I do however, suggest that Honor requires Honesty! You seem to have picked up the mantel of Vengence along with Combat; neither Honor nor Protection required this attack at the Turn.

A group of adventurers who joined your army as mercenaries and fought in Nor Pupae flee Khenstorn as soon as they see that the tide is turning against your army; they quickly return to Linver, unknowingly carrying with them, among the loot they took in Nor Pupae, several items covered in mutating spores. As they sell these items, the spores begin to spread, slowly causing more and more newborns in Linver to be born with strange appearances and mutations. Even plants and saplings are not exempt from this, and the vegetation in Linver begins to appear more alien.

I do not condemn those who fled from the battle, for not all people can stand for what is right when their lives are on the line, and I see how it can be argued that the spores would not have traveled to Linver without my invading, but can ANYONE garuntee that?

THIS is the reason why everything that Nor made while he was here needs to be destroyed. Even without him, his plans are still coming to fruition.

I have said many, many times before that I would stand alone if that was what it took, although I honestly did not expect for me to be forced into it. I see now who is really on my side, and who plays with words.

I could have.

Properly powered ... I could have DESTROYed all mutation permanently, had I the support of the Pantheon. But I was shunned ... so be it. Reap the rewards of distrust! Chaos and Suffering will indeed spead along with Mutation.

Further, I was convinced by Melirelle's words ... and Vadhaka's ... and others that Mutation should be left alone until we saw their loyalties. Vengance may be swift ... but Honor typically takes a more deliberate and less impulsive approach!

My friend, are you perhaps touched with some of Mox's Madness ... if so, I can ask for its removal!

Adomorn, the problem in Nor Pupae was Nor Yekith. He stated at least a few times that he intended to force his will onto all of Eiran. And as he was the God of Malice, his will would not have been beneficial to others.

But he is gone now. The questions have changed:

1) Will the inhabitants of Nor Pupae invade the rest of Eiran? Some groups may. But without a unifying will, I would be more than surprised if they did en masse. Killing all inhabitants does not help secure the safety of Eiran. It is an evil deed.

2) Do the mutagens in Nor Pupae present a danger to Eiran? Most certainly. Even without Nor Yekith's orders, they will make their way out, at least occasionally. Shakari was the victim of an incident similar to yours not long ago, and it happened while Nor Yekith was away, so he was blameless. Alas, as I learned from my studies when the Star went dormant, eradicating or neutralizing the unliving mutagens will result in the eradication of all life in Nor Pupae. Again, if the inhabitants are not working toward forcing Nor Yekith's will onto others, killing them would be evil.

My thought is still that strengthening the genetic code of my lands is the best solution. My people do not need to live in fear of the effects of the mutagens, and the inhabitants of Nor Pupae can carry on in their homes as they will. If any other deities wish me to help them in this way, I would be more than happy to.

Another consideration: Melirelle is now Goddess of Mutation. Many of Nor Pupae's inhabitants will certainly turn to her. If you attempt to wipe out all life in Nor Pupae, you will be very much at odds with her. That is a battle you cannot possibly win. Nor would you be on the side of the angels in such a battle. She may be working against me, but I am not aware of her having done anything to anyone else, so attacking her is unjustified.

I have said from the first that I will stop Nor from causing unalterble change in the world. It is not just his past actions effects that worried me, but the future effects as well. Just because he is gone does not mean that such effects will not linger. And I do not doubt that the new Goddess of Mutation will reverse her beloveds work, just for my sake.

I am acting within my own scope of Honor, siblings, and I will not stand by and allow you to belittle that. I am doing no more than I have always said I would, only now it seems that I frighten some of you. Without being chained down from my duty, you think I will go on some rampage? I will do no such thing.

Nor is and always has been my fight. This is just a continuation of that fight.
