Reissue of the first and second chronicles???????

Post by DrBloodmoney1 »

Any word if they are going to be reissued in hardback before the release of the final chronicles. My copies are getting a little rough around the edges and it would be nice to update my set. If Del Rey puts a lot of marketing into the new series, I think they might consider this. That's what the publisher is doing for King's Dark Tower right now.

Hail and welcome to the Watch DrBlood :)

Not sure about new HD editions of the Chrons. I do know that the Science Fiction Book Club has both sets in two hard cover volumes.

At last we heard, SRD wasn't going with Del Rey this time for the Last Chrons. He's been unhappy with them and has decided to take this next set elsewhere, not sure who, if anyone, has picked it up yet.

Again, welcome to the Watch! Welcome and True :)

I recently bought the SFBC hard cover editions - they're great except for the really funky covers (one of which shows Covenant with 4 fingers and a thumb on his right hand.) We've discussed this before on another thread, I'll bump it for you if you can't find it.

If the SF bookclub's weird covers are too distressing, probably Half.com or Ebay has HB copies for sale, but I don't know if they're reasonably priced or not.

LOL!! :haha: Well, I don't find it "distressing" just rather laughable that these people who do the cover art for books never even read them. :)

The first issue PB's from back in the 70's had the coolest covers ever I think. I have both those and the first issue HB's. The newer PB covers are okay except for the one for TPTP, which has Foamfollower and I assume Bannor on the cover. And Bannor is in a breastplate...what's up with that??? :?

You too! :D I never could tell what was going on with that cover. I thought the breastplate guy may as well have been the guy from Gladiator. The 70s ones were on the whole better, I thought, though I take issue with the One Tree one with the Elohim looknig like toadstool fairyfolk.
