Some interesting choices (Runaway? Kick ass!), but a few glaring omissions.

I agree but until Futurama has a feature film he's not really going to be considered. Blast them!Lord Foul wrote:No Bender? Blasphemy!
What about Jet Jaguar from Godzilla versus Megalon? Huh? Well? Huh?
What about the Iron Giant? That's a feature film. Well? Huh? Well?

There were a couple of made-for-TV Knight Rider movies.

At least the Twiggy robot from Buck Rogers was actually at the theater type movie. I was dumb enough to go see that when I was like 13. I took a date as I recall.
If we're talking a 2 hour television episode then I would have to argue that it doesn't qualify. Or shouldn't.

If you read the blurb about how they made the selections, it specifically says that they included some from tv that had not been in feature length films. They even challenge you to find which ones.

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I guess that means all bets are off and we ought to include any two bit robot from television as well.

But Roy isn't a robot, he's totally organic - basically a genetically souped up version of a human, right?Lucimay wrote:exactly.Cail wrote:There's no Roy Batty.
I agree with some of the other user comments: HAL shouldn't qualify because he's a computer, not a robot. (And by the way, HAL, I still can't find anything wrong with the AE-35 unit.)
It's nice to see V'ger on the list, though maybe this is stretching the robot definition a bit. Also, V'ger is certainly several orders of magnitude beyond the other machines for "dangerousness" in terms of absolute firepower. If V'ger can be included, then what about the Probe from Star Trek IV?
And yeah, I'm also shaking my head that they forgot about the Iron Giant.
Still, it's a decent list.
