Don't u get anything Forestal! F-Troop is another funny OLD show and both of ur names start w/F--here I am posting away minding my own business--looking at my post 4 ERRORS (Furls!) and both of u pop out of nowhere, split me in half and mug me!

yep, Artie Johnson used to do that at the end of each episode. "verry interesting, but stupid..." Stuff like that. "Good night Lucy, you little moon blossum you..." and other silliness.

Used to love Sammy Davis Jr's "here comes the Judge..." too funny

My Dad (now pased away) always used to say "very interesting, but not very funny", and I never knew where it came from, until recently someone said they'd heard of it from Laugh In.

May I also just take this opportunity to say that as soon as "Return of the King" has left the cinema, I shall be going to sleep, and I don't want to be woken up until the following things:
1) the DVD for Return of the King comes out
2) the Extended DVD of Return of the King comes out
3) Runes of the Earth is printed.

The wait is already making me crazy! I wish we had a definite date at least, so it wouldn't seem so unattainable.

Every week or so I come back to this thread and re-read Danlo's awesome summation - gotta have my "fix" to hold me over.

Just noticed this line today (how could I miss it?)

The Sheriff doesn't appear to be there and she is overwrought thinking about how these events could futher traumatize Jeremiah, who as a very small child was forced, along with his family, to stick his right hand into the Despiser's bondfire.

How cool is that? SRD has such a knack for tying things together.

Foul had to have specific conditions for summoning TC to the Land in TWL - specific location, specific pain, blood, etc - perhaps even specific people are required as well?

possibly ... I mean between the Creator and Foul, they both needed very specific people in TC and Linden ... they had to be specific to the triangulation of both their gameplans.

Well it looks like the trend continues.

1st Chronicles: Very little of Earth
2nd Chronicles: More of Earth & more tie-ins to the land.
3rd Chronicles: 1/2 & 1/2 ???

At the least we know that book 1 of the the 3rd Chonicles has chapter 5 showing Earth. Does this mean that the first 5 chapters are dealing with earth? I don't know, because SRD suggested that there was some sort of shifting going on through the story. But such a shifting would only enhance my belief that this will be far more of an earthly tale than before.

Do you mean by "Earth" our reality? Because, the Chrons are full of "Earth." The Land is part of the earth. Earthpower, whether flourishing in the 1st Chrons or horribly corrupted in the 2nd, is a character in itself. It's all about the earth, the power, the "Land sense" and later Linden's "health sense".

I, for one, can't wait to get back to The Land. Seems like it's going to take about 5 chapters to get there too...hehe...but that's just fine with me!! I remember when reading the Chrons for the first time, I used to hurriedly read thru the "real world" chapters because I was in so much haste to get back to The Land. That "Earth" is so much more interesting then this one.

I don't do that now tho, in fact, the last few re-reads I've done, I've spent alot more time on the opening chapters because there is so much information and fore-shadowing in them. Like now, with TWL dissecting, I'm going over the beginning with a fine-toothed comb.
