en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasy#High_fantasy A very interesting breakdown of the sub-genres of fantasy, but I noted no mention of SRD so I just HAD to include the Chronicles in the High fantasy section!!! That knocked Brooks and Jordan down a peg, or two! I also added The Land to their fantasy worlds section! en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_fantasy_worlds (interesting breakdown-link when you click the Chronicles link--even includes Gilden-Fire )
Hmmm....just checked your link, danlo...I don;t see any reference at all to SRD or the Chronicles in the High Fantasy section.
EDIT....NVM....ahem. one click too few.

Excerpt fromAnimal Songs Never Written
"Hey, dad," croaked the vulture, "what are you eating?"
"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"
Yeah, it's actually quite difficult to usefully edit those things. There are sometimes people who just put it back to the way it was before no matter what was changed.
Some bugger has re-edited the whole thing. While the synopsis of the books in the Covenant series is interesting-breaking them down has, for some reason, made it imposible to re-edit Lord Foul's Bane back to the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. Whoever did it-I appreciate your efforts (but the man did write more than one book! )

A wiki is a community-editable website; a knowledge-base where all registered users can add, delete or edit the contents of the site; all changes are trackable; and it usually simple formatting tags to make emphasis, links etc. simple.
Best thing since sliced bread.

I just noticed that the German Wikipedia article for SRD says that he is a trained doctor and worked in a 'leprosarium' where he came up with the idea for the chronicles.
I wonder where people get that bs, escpecially when there's a link to the Official HP on the same page. *sigh*

Use it with caution when it comes to science and politics though. Never take anything for granted, before you have checked at least two other sources. That being said, It is a marvelous provider of background material for literary subjects and off-mainstream issues, as there is always one or two die-hard fans out there, who really know their stuff (Danlo?).

hmm, not sure, perhaps I should edit/prune those extracts ? I was gonna paraphrase as I did with some parts, but I couldnt bring myself to mangling SRD's words ..
