Did Brinn get scuba gear becoming ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol?

Post by aTOMiC »

If the island of the One Tree sank into the ocean, didn't ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol sink right along with it? Is Brinn sitting at the bottom of the sea with bubbles occasionally drifting up from his face, waiting for a submarine to come along and deposit the next questers for the One Tree?

Brinn did not sink. He swam. Under water, like a fish. One of the little known powers that Earthpower bestowed upon the Haruchai (and Orcrest) is that they do not need to breathe air. Upon their first confrontation with the Merewives, I believe they subconciously remembered this ability, which was why they were able to stay under as long as they did, and, as you may recall, the only thing Linden had to do was break the spell of the Merewives, not resesucate them, or pump their lungs or anything. This lore had apparently been forgotten to the Haruchai as they never had reason to use it in the Land, but was known by the Island-dwelling ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardeno, who passed it onto his successor, Brinn, who passed it on to Cail, who planned on using this ability when he finally was free to copulate with as many Merewives as he could catch, in the fashion of his kind. And one other thing: I really, really hope that SRD doesn't look at this, as I may have unintentionally given away a major portion of the new TCOTC series plot, and he might get mad at me. :screwy:

I am happy to report that I have thus far defeated, in hand-to-fin/flipper combat, a curious halibut, 4 beligerent porpoises, and a single-minded but rather nasty sea cucumber.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Bad news guys, I just heard that Brinn, his well dressed cricket, and his wooden puppet just got swallowed by a Necor. :screwy:

Surely the battle against the sea cucumber is worthy of a song or two! I shudder at the thought of such a battle!!!

It depends. Did you battle the sea cucumber before or after the Merewives were done with it? :screwy:

I have to assume from the responses so far that I'm on to something. I haven't gotten a "Clear you are out of your mind." comment....yet. :-)

Well dAN, I don't want to speculate but I can tell you it was smiling during the entire aquatic melee.

Yes, a song would be nice...Maybe a ballad or a nice dirge. ;)

Really? I was thinking more along the lines of a nice rap or R&B number. Complete with black men in caps and baggy jeans grabbing their crotches, and black women in hardly any clothes at all shaking their bootys.

Uh, Brinn, if you see a sponge with square pants, and a starfish with swimming trunks on, could ya bring 'em to me? Oh, and I lost a treasure-trunk somewhere out there, if you find one, could ya tell me?

Do you go jelly-fishing?
Why do I always have to be the decoy?

I'm sure dAN meant no disrespect. I'm guessing he mentioned Rueben since Barry is no longer available to perform such a song. But then again, we are talking about dAN so...
