I am reading The Peshawar Lancers, an alternative history book. My wife loved it. There's a lot of action, fighting, and adventure in this book.
I'd rather be in California...

im reading the wheel of time series, by robert jordan at the moment...still on the first book...just bought the second and third ones yesterday, and i bought reave the just by donaldson when i bought the first book...so i my plate is full for a while...

it seems to have become a pattern..i have to have something to read now...i finished reading the second book in mordants need, then went right out and got the gap series, book by book, read that, then needed something else to read...so i started the wheel of time series...pretty cool so far...
Think on that, and be dismayed

I am reading The Doom that Came to Sarnath, a collection of short creepy stories by Lovecraft, and Tales from Earthsea by Le Guin, short stories set on that famous world... 8)

I spent the last two hundred or so pages of that book sitting cross-legged in a recliner, hunched over it, biting my knuckle. My back hurt the rest of the night, but I think that's one of the greatest highs life has to offer when you find a book that does that to you. :D :D

ive read most of the stories of Sarnath, by Lovecraft...pretty cool...hes sometimes hard to read, though....VERY descriptive...heh

About 18 years ago it was late at night and raining and I began to reread The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. I picked up a funny cigarette, by mistake :wink:, and soon I had a pack of Zoogs literally climbing up my legs...shudder! 8O Oh too, too weird! :screwy:

Halfway through 'The Waste Lands' by Stephen King.



A books caught my eye in the bookstore the other day, just wondering if anyone knows it - I can't remember the author, but it was called 'Legacy' and I think the cover said it was book one of the 'Corean Saga'. Any good?

I will start reading Ship of Destiny by Robin Hobb today. It was a while since I read the other "Ship - books", so I hope I will manage to keep up with the story...

Book two of Hobb's Farseer Trilogy, Royal Assasin. Good stuff, but it's depressing. Why am I complaining? It's nothing compared to TC or ASOIAF. :wink:

Having completed both Chronicles I have moved on to Daughter of Regals. Mordant's Need is on tap after that. Wahoo.:-)
