Someone HAS to do Watch-Cereal Boxes with our names and images incorporated into fake cereals!

For example: Luci Charms, Matrichexman, danl-os...you get it!

Tonight I feel wonderfully fantastic! Tonight I fulfilled one of my lifetime ambitions and it was just as good as I expected it to be!

Me and S went on a hot air balloon trip this evening.

WOW!

We got a couple of pics but they're not very good cos the basket is so small you can't get people+background properly, and we thought there's no point just taking pics of the ground!

It was a beautiful evening, very little wind. seemed to take us ages and ages to get up and moving, but then we did....

There's no sensation of moving whatsoever, and though we were pretty far up everything was really clear on the ground - we saw a fox, lots of deer, we saw how the other half live in our town (tennis courts, pools etc).

Though there was a real mixed bunch of people, at the end there was a real cameraderie for some reason - having shared something beautiful, i suppose.

I took my music player, and had an amazing few minutes listening to one of my fave songs ('Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space') while leaning out so I couldn't see the balloon or anything.

I wanna do it again!!!!!!

I once took a hot air balloon ride with my FIL over Madison, WI. It was a freakin' lot of fun...until we CRASH LANDED! For 6 insurmaountably uncomfortable seconds, my Father In Law was laying on top of me. I asked him if this meant that we should be moving to Massachusets...which found about as funny as the crash itself!

All was OK. We had a heavy/crash tipover type landing. No one got hurt.

Fun, scary...the whole enchilada!

I'm glad you had a great time, Stonemaybe...and that the ride went smoothly.

And Guns...geez, man...doubly glad you're around today to talk about it.

Sorry, but personally I'm staying the hell away from hot air balloons. In just the past month here in Canada there have been two serious hot air balloon accidents involving the balloons catching fire. One in Ontario resulted in a fatality and the other in some badly burned people.

Not that you really needed to hear such depressing news. I'm just too acutely aware of how fragile we are.

Exhausted. Working as a prison psychologist is busy with hard work. I've had to do two suicide/risk assessments in two days, write three reports, do at least twenty other risk assessments following bad parole news, and interview a famous prisoner!

Wow, Lore, sounds like you have been busy. I'm tired. We had a houseful last night. Bloodguard Bob's cousin is visiting and we also had the Irish over for dinner.

Been pretty easy-going. I'm off on Tuesdays and Thursdays (only got Mon-Wed-Fri classes).

Aside from reading assignments, which aren't really work, I'm playing Chrono Trigger. Damn, I'm going to miss being an undergrad.
