I expect no different from Astavyastataa Kadna, but you surprise me Adomorn. All of that energy this past Turn, and you can not hold out and see if what slight unification of the Pantheon we did accomplish with the Song will have any effect? For, if anything will hinder it's success, dissention amongst ourselves, even in the face of a common foe, is surely among the top reasons.
I beg you both, retract your declarations. At least until we know where we stand after this Turn's actions are revealed.
Well said.Vadhaka wrote:Fools.

I stand with Maeror precisely because of what this turn will reveal. Argothoth's undead has attacked my people for two seasons without intervention from their god. Asta stands with Argothoth.
I have put ALL SEVEN of my DRP into the song, and have done my best to unite the Pantheon, I don not see how much more I can do.
I will not stand by and allowed my people to be attacked any longer.

Brother, have you had word from Argothoth that he did nothing regarding these attacks this past Turn? To my knowledge, Argothoth has been silent on many issues, both publicly and privately the past Turn. Perhaps he has addressed this issue, but has not seen fit to inform you, and plans to leave it to the AllFather to inform us all of his actions.Lord Adomorn wrote:I stand with Maeror precisely because of what this turn will reveal. He has had two seasons to stop the attacks and he did nothing. I can see no explanation that would give proper reparations to the damage caused.O-gon-cho wrote:Brother, have you had word from Argothoth that he did nothing regarding these attacks this past Turn? I...have no answer for that brother. I have never had to deal with such from among our brethren. The two times anything even remotely similar occured, the responsible deity came forth instantly and helped try to rectify the situation. Some of your own were involved in one of those instances, so you may recall the incident.
I can not speak for Argothoth. But I beg you to stay your hand a little longer. At least until we know what effect, if any, the Song has upon Eiran.
Speaking of the Song. Perhaps the time has come to describe what I sang. I only hope I sang well and brought about strengthening Eiran.
O-gon-cho journeys towards Seawind, searching for the best spot to Sing...
Finding a spot which opens on a clear vista of the Solus Sea, and with the dunes of Scirocco behind her, O-gon-cho draws upon her remaining DRP, upon those donated to her for this purpose, and upon the domain blessings of her brethren and herself, the true ties to Eiran of those of the Pantheon.
And O-gon-cho began to sing the Song of Eiran. If she had been singing a song of nothing but sound, O-gon-cho's song would have been indescribable to or by the inhabitants of Eiran. Even with no training in the musical arts, most can easily follow music of 3-part harmonies, even if they cannot explain with words what their souls hear. But add another voice, and we hear 4-part harmonies. Add another; 5-part. And another? And another? At what point are there too many notes being heard at once, sounding like harsh noise?
The answer is: Nowhere near the fifteen and twenty distinct parts that O-gon-cho's song wandered between. On a purely acoustic level, this is well beyond the human mind. They cannot pick out the individual melodic lines as they move, for they are too densely packed to pick out one at a time. They cannot comprehend that the voices are in harmony, for they hear nothing but huge clusters of notes, endlessly repeated.
But, of course, O-gon-cho knows the musical capabilities of her world's inhabitants. So she puts much of the purely audio aspects of the Song out of their range of hearing, so they hear only what is beautiful to them. And, as only the G-ddess of Music could, she manages to put different parts of the Song out of range for different species. Each has their own harmonies, and she allows each to hear what is best for them. Each species hears beauty. A different beauty than any other species hears. And, yet, what each species hears is but a small part of O-gon-cho's song.
Still, what each species hears is not even the tenth part of the Song. Not even the thousandth part! They only perceive a part of what can be heard. They are unaware of the rest. They are unaware that the Song is "sung" with all parts of O-gon-cho's body, mind, and soul. All that the members of the Pantheon send her are joined within her, and sent out to every atom of Eiran. L-rd Adomorn sends her his great Strength, and Protection for Eiran. Vadhaka sends his Power, so the World Breaker's plans will be Assassinated. Moxinomal sends her Luck, and Madness to give the World Breaker the unexpected. Undine sends her the permanence of Water's motion. Hedra Iren sends her the Law that preserves against Chaos. Norn lends great Magic and the blessings of Fate. Jove sends her the raging storms; the gentle breezes; the absolute stillnesses; all aspects of Weather. And she sends a Wealth of species; of experiences; of thoughts. Maeror sends her the Lifeforce of an entire planet. And he sends her the Death that leads to endless cycles. Bhakti sends her the Love that binds all; that leads to more Births and Lives; the thing that gives Life meaning. And he sends her the interplay of all things in Nature; the infinitely intricate threads that weave the world, the way voices weave a song. Argothoth sends her the Blood of all that live, and the Undeath of those who do not. Astavyastataa Kadna sends her the confidence of Conquest and Battle. And he sends her both the pain of Suffering and the joy of it's release.
And O-gon-cho makes it all, all, all, all, all into her Song. Throwing it on to the Air currents; tossing it along beams of Light; ensuring it reaches all of Eiran. Truly, no deity but she can hear the entirety of the Song. Its complexity is too great for any but its G-ddess. And even she will say that she was not consciously aware of what she Sang. "The Song wrote itself. It Sang itself through me. If I even attempted to understand it, I would have been an unfit vessel for it. I would have been a harp with wooden strings, unable to play a note." For the Song of Eiran is nothing less than the entirety of Eiran - past, present, future - from its Birth to its Death. All given voice.
And it was Sung to the World Breaker. The Song's harmonies are a structure of such complexity, such Order, that it is an Absolute barrier to Chaos and Destruction. An antithesis. As he Destroys, it Creates. As he pulls apart, it assembles.

Ah, O-gon-cho, I believe you have sung well. May your Song be as successful as we desire.
Adomorn, Vadhaka divided his power between the Song and my efforts to close the Chastus Portal, as he has openly declared more than once. I am saddened by your decision, although I am not surprised and I do not wholly oppose your plans. Argothoth has seldom allowed concerned for others to influence his plans.

Brothers and Sisters of The Pantheon!
Can those of you who have been attacked (midturn) by the World Breaker check this theory for me: He has done so only when directly addressed by a god(dess).
Could this ability be somehow linked to the law of 'naming calls', that is, calling his name summons him and empowers him?
This might tie in with what we knew of Chastus.

Or perhaps your Weave is unraveling cousin!!Norn wrote:Others? Surely you don't mean yourself? Don't you think it's about time you stopped acting so much like the Worldbreaker and grew up a little?

Although usurped, I am still the OMEGA and those who oppose me will feel CHAOS and DESTRUCTION. And I am even now Suffering, Battle, and Conquest!! It is time I unleash the dogs of WAR!!
As, I told cousin Norn ... I am STILL the OMEGA!! That is something that the usurper does NOT have the might to change. I will see those who oppose me DESTROYED ... and perhaps Eiran as well!!O-gon-cho wrote:Astavyastataa Kadna wrote:War?Stonemaybe wrote:Who are you calling Soggybottom? I LIKE WAR!!!

In spite of Destruction being torn from you cousin, I have come to believe you, as much as Nephirthos, will help bring about the downfall of Eiran. As I believe has been your intent from the time you first joined us. Your fundamental nature as a Prime appears to remain unchanged. Is there nothing any of us can do to turn you away from the course you pursue? With our common foe, I am sure there will be plenty of opportunity for Battle and Conquest, not to mention Suffering. Must you so actively seek them out as well?
...yeah, yeah, yeah...Game thread...

I may move after Maeror, Adomorn, and Norn to YOU ... I think I will ask Hedra if Simjen has ever made a DRAGON size broiler!! I think my followers and I will see if they really do taste like chicken!!

Oppse you in what, Asta? I think you let slip a little too much. For I wonder what could unite Maeror, Norn and I in one endevour.Astavyastataa Kadna wrote: As, I told cousin Norn ...
