Question about bookplates

Post by Mortice Root »

But first, a quick comment.

I think it is incredible that SRD is willing to provide signed bookplates through the mail. It really means a lot to me, and I'm sure to lots of other fans, who can't make it out to the west of the US for one of his book tours. Very cool and very touching.

Does anyone else have any of the bookplates, and if so, what do you do with them? My first thought was to fix them in the books, but part of me is a little nervous about doing anything permanent to a nice hardcover. So do you just set them in, or do you stick them on?

Mine are still in an envelop. For fear of doing anything permanent to the bookplates!

I do need to put them in my hardcovers, yeah.

They are a second-best to a booksigning. If you have a book you'd let SRD sign, then the theory is (I guess) you'd be okay with putting in a bookplate as a best second.

I got my bookplate framed, along with this short article about SRD and Runes (with his picture) from some magazine that I clipped out. It looks pretty snazzy.-jay
