Dumbledore and the rest of the teachers...

Post by Reisheiruhime »

Am I, like, the only one who likes Snape? The guy's cool dangit! Potions Master, and Head of Slytherin House.

And Dumbledore, well, he should have told Harry all that, but in his mind he was doing things properly, trying to shield Harry from the genuinely crappy truth of it all. As y'all know, he's the Headmaster.

McGonnagal is just an older version of Hermione. Really cool, but scary when angry. Transfiguration (I love that word) Professor, and Head of Gryffindor House. She's also the Deputy Headmistriss.

Madam Hooch, well, we don't see her much, but she's still good. She teaches flying. :)

Flitwick. Do we even know his first name? Well, anyway, he's the Charms Professor. Some people seem to think he's the Head of Ravenclaw House.

Prof. Sprout is nice. Head of Hufflepuff House, and Herbology Professor.

Umbitch isn't worth mentioning.

Mad-Eye Moody. Well, that wasn't really him, it was a servant of the Valdie-Mart. But the real Mad-Eye is paranoid and somewhat scary.

Remus Lupin was the third year Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. He's a werewolf, and is sometimes called Moony. He was friends with James and Sirius when they were at school.

Gilderoy Lockhart *cough git cough* was the second year DAtDA Professor. He's a git.

Quirrel had the Valdie-Mart in the back of his head. He was the first year DAtDA Professor. He's dead now. :D

Sybill Trelawney is the Divination Professor. Talk about an idiot! Honestly, I doubt if she could predict where her own head was.

Rubeus Hagrid is the Care of Magical Creatures Professor. If you don't know who Hagrid is, read the ruddy books.

Madam Pomfrey, I dunno if she's a Professor or not, but she's the nurse. We see her a lot.

I know I've forgotten a few, so please, please, tell me of this fact so I can hex you. No, really, I've forgotten some, I know.

You'll forgive my forgetting of names but there's one who's the
History of Magic Teacher... A ghost none-the-less and boring as hell (according to the books).

Professor Binns. :) I think we should exorcise him. Make him go stay with Moaning Myrtle.

Against my will, I actually find myself starting to like Snape. 8O He may be obnoxious, but he's honorable, too.

Dumbledore is my favorite character after Hermione and Sirius. As Phineas Nigellus said, he's got style. He has countless great lines, too.

McGonagall rocks. She was especially cool in OOTP - "It unscrews the other way!"

And I liked how Flitwick left a bit of Fred and George's swamp as a monument. 8)

The real Moody is cooler than the fake Moody. Grumpier, but funnier, too.

I love Lupin. He's right up there with Dumbledore.

Lockhart was a pain, but his cameo in OOTP was kind of cool.

Hagrid...is Hagrid. What more is there to say?

And while we're on the subject of teachers - I loved how all the teachers banded together against Umbitch in OOTP. 8)

Yeah, I know what you mean. It was good to see all adults but Argus(sp?)
rebel against Umbitches rules.

Dumbledore has got to be the best Professer of them all. He is so unbelievably cool. Like when he was fighting Valdie-Mart. I loved that duel. "It was foolish to come here tonight Tom. The Auror's are on there way."

Dumbledore made me angry in OotP. The way he just shut out Harry when Harry needed him the most. All the hooey about Voldie seeing him thru Harry is a lame excuse at best. If Dumbledore suspected that, he should have done something about it far earlier then he did.

The way he treated Harry at the Hearing was appalling. Here he had just witnessed ole Voldie's "rebirth", was attacked by him and the Death Eaters, witnessed a friend's murder, was sent back to that horrible HOUSE on Privet Drive, was attacked by Dementors. And Dumbledore doesn't even say HELLO to him????

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... :x
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

Snape IS the best teacher. 8) He is just a good character! I wish there was more about him in the books.

Dumbledore - used to be a favourite, but not anymore.

Lupin - definitely a favourite. He was just a cool character.

Madam Hooch - I liked her eyes in the movie, lol.

I too am a huge Snape fan, though I am a Ravenclaw myself.

Snape is the key character in the series IMO. He has saved harry's bacon more than once, and is the only real link to Voldemort that is on staff, having been a FORMER student/sympathizer.

I can't wait to get the story about WHY Dumbledore trusts Snape so. They keep talking about it, but to exposition yet!!!

I have no idea why Dumbledore trusts Snape, but it must of been something important.

It will be good to find out...I thought it interesting that JK Rowling has gone out of her way to make Snape a sympathetic character, picked on by the "Jocks" of Hogwarts.

This of course makes me nervous he'll be killed.
