Is Hooverphonic electronica/trance music? If it is, I might check it out.

Erm...I'm listening to Beethoven's "little symphony" - the Eighth, as performed by the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan in their 1977 version. I consider this the most exhilarating performance of the Eighth on record. No other versions I've heard over the years has come close to the intensity of Karajan and the Berliners in this performance - not even the best period instrument versions that I've heard.

Yeah, I suppose you'd call it that. :? A friend of mine described it as "Enigma-ish only better". The Sit Down and listen To album is a lot of just vocal, piano and strings. You might like it. :) I love it. :)

I'm swatting for the Elton John Concert I am attending with Seasis in December. So I'm listening to "Carla etude/Tonight". The intro to this is magical (!) and the song itself is probably my favorite EJ song.

Nice one, BGB!

But I MUCH prefer Manu Chao's solo versions, from Clandestino and live on Radio Remba Sound System.

Well, if my opinion counts for anything, you started with their best.

I was tempted to get Sheer Heart Attack first, for chronology's sake, but then Beelzebub would've had a devil set aside for me.

I'm a huge Queen fan, but I find their albums to be highly uneven. ANatO is a pretty good one though. I think A Kind of Magic is their best, followed closely by The Miracle.

Not to mention that you wouldn't be the best friend, that they ever had...
