We didn't have MTV. My first temple was NBC's Friday Night Videos, followed by various other music video shows on other networks (both US and Canadian).

A major part of the thrill of '80s rock/pop was definitely the pioneering videos of that era. I think by the late '80s, I stopped following music videos on a regular basis.

I didn't have cable at all.

But, it was my excuse for going to bars that did show MTV. I never really got into drinking, so I would go and watch whatever new videos were shown while I was there.

...yeah...yeah...yeah...real party girl...not...

I think Much appeared in '83, but we didn't receive it cuz it was a premium channel at the time, not a part of our basic service. (It is now)

So, let me get this straight.

Elvis. Isn't. On. This. List. XD

The king has been usurped XD. Rolling Stone has committed high treason. Off with its....

head?

Alright, now in all seriousness I don't listen to enough music and can't speak with much experience. But I think Django Reinhardt is incredible and probably should've made it somewhere on this list.

Elvis wasn't a great guitarist, Scotty Moore was.

Did I already mention that Johnny Winter could out play a lot of the people ahead of him on the list? He is one bad cross eyed, albino, substance abuser. Here is proof:
