The Land in CGI

Post by Blue_Spawn »

I sometimes do landscapes in Bryce3D (CGI editor/program), so as I was reading the novel I thought some scenes might be good to model. I haven't finished the first book yet, but I'll try and spot a nice scene if it comes up (and if I have enough skill to render it). Suggestions though would be nice...just keep in mind that I can't do living things or people (since I don't have Poser and my human modeling skills in 3DsMax are null).

Soaring Woodhelvin?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I'll have to look it up - but what about the scene where they are boltering the defenses, just inside the first gate at Revelstone? Remember that chapter - course you do! The activity inside while they worked to fall back inside the second gate was riveting......

Also, they did do one image (I think) abuot the upper land just above Revelstone, and the lake there, remember... that could be embellished....
