I played a .wav version of it earlier today, and although the wrong time of year, I just had to see if I could download the video in a reasonable amount of time. 90 minutes wasn't too bad for a three minute song, especially one that just makes me wear such a silly grin.

Bagpipes! Dam they give me those "chills'. I swear between Irish and Scottish I don't know who invented the blues, but they got that shit goin ON! And sometimes they make me cry for some reason, heh, just like I did when they buried Spock the first time...... :cry:

Bagpipes are awesome. And that was one of the finest Trek moments. (It helps to pretend that the subsequent films don't exist)

My favorite album, A Wizard, a True Star, by Todd Rundgren. It's schizophrenic and features a 10 minute medley of doo-wop and bubblegum covers (such as "I'm So Proud" and "Cool Jerk").

INTRO: A border can be a boundary...or a grey area — a line of demarcation...or a zone of ambiguity. Borders between countries are political boundaries; they can be the scene of violent confrontation, as in the Middle East, or so remote that few people ever see them.

Outside of politics, a border can be a barrier...or a zone of transition. In music, we often find ambiguous borders between styles and genres — in fact, much of today's fusion music is interesting because it deliberately disregards borders. There's a lot of information...at the borders.

I am now listening to tonight's second Hearts of Space broadcast, an older hour from back in August called The Music of Myst. I have the hour sleep setting on my clock radio set, and most likely I will fall asleep listening to this.
