Esmer wrote:She came out of the Border's Books store just in time to see her young son playing on the sidewalk directly in the path of the gray, gaunt man who strode down the center of the walk like an amicable autochthon. For an instant, her heart quailed. Then she jumped forward, gripped her son by the arm, snatched him out of harm's way.
The man went by without turning his head. As his back moved away from her, she hissed at it, "Go away! Get out of here! You ought to be ashamed! Reading WHGB?!"
Wayfriend's stride went on, as unfaltering as clockwork that had been wound to the hilt for just this purpose, buying FR before he read anymore online. But to himself he responded, Ashamed? Ashamed? His face contorted in a wild grimace. Beware! Outcast unclean!

Wow, just...wow!dlbpharmd wrote:2 days!
I've been checking the forums periodically to see how far away the book is from being released, and I'm so excited the release date is so close. On Tuesdays I do a 5k walk with my sister, and the first thing I'm going to do after is head to Borders. ^^
I'll just need to make sure and pace myself when reading it. I have a tendency to devour books like this all in one sitting and I'd rather take it in slowly.

Sent to me from Amazon on Friday the 5th

If it won't fit in my mailbox (I live in an apartment) and the postman has to bring it to my door, will he be dressed like:
a) a Fatal Revenant (whatever that looks like)
b) the Forestal / Lord on the cover
c) a blonde woman wearing a red flannel shirt and jeans
Inquiring minds want to know.

I also think we should make it a point to rate and write a review for the book (once done reading it.) I intend to do so, and I pray it will be a favorable review.Murrin wrote:BTW, the book is currently at #152 in the Amazon.com book sales ranks (#6 in Fantasy). On Amazon.co.uk it's #175. We should keep a check to see how high it gets.
BTW - FR is up to 135 on the top sellers. Would be cool if he could break top 100.
