A seller on eBay has copies available to pre-order, and another seller has copies and is willing to ship as early as today. I would've bought a copy, but shipping was media mail only and I didn't want to wait that long.

I have been keeping an eye out. There is one bookstore in the Mall here who put out Valentines Resolve (EE Knight) almost a week early and I cant figure out if it was a mistake or whatever. SO I am keeping my eye out on those shelves.

I have to wait for my birthday at the end of the month before I buy it for myself.... so I haven't been looking yet. It's on my amazon wishlist though.

Three years ago "Runes" showed up about a week early at some small bookstore chain (forget the name). I was hoping FR would also, since I am flying to Ohio for a four day weekend tomorrow and it would have made the perfect airplane read. Oh, well, just have to wait till Tuesday.

I remember this - some bookstore in New York had copies of ROTE and I had them ship a copy to me 2 weeks before the release date.

I know that Books A Million puts Runes on the shelf prior to the release date and I have my fingers crossed they'll do the same with FR. Anyway, going by tomorrow just on the off chance...... :cross:

Hmm, sounds like I ought to cruise by BAM this weekend. I could always give away the copy that Amazon's sending me....

Yup, good ole' Strict On Sale date prevents the big chains of selling it early in the US. Pretty lame. But it keeps sales between independent and chain stores equal by not giving the book early to one or the other...

The books are at least at the book distributor. I picked up a few copies today from the one I go to, and I will be having Stephen sign them on Wednesday or Thursday, depending upon which event I wish to attend. Perhaps I'll go to both...

The book is a very nice piece of work. Whoever designed the interior did a fantastic job.

Wooohooo!!! I just called Borders (on a whim) to ask if they could hold a copy for me. The saleswomen said 'I'll be right back' got the book, and said she would place it on hold for me to pick up this evening from the main desk! I'm just hoping there isn't a hitch when I get there.....

I just got off the phone with a lady at a Books a Million in Knoxville. I asked if they would sell FR to me tonight, and she said "Sure! If you want to pay the $3 million dollar fine that our company will have to pay."
