When Covenant and Linden leave their cabin on Starfare's Gem, to find all the Giants grinning knowingly ("Does everybody on this bloody rock know -?!") (If the dromond's rockin', don't come a-knockin...)
The entire Elemesnedene sequence, "if done right". The lighting and color should be realistic but preternatural. I keep picturing the landscape in the scenes where Jody Foster's character talks to the alien intelligence appearing as her late father in the movie adapt'n of Sagan's Contact. The appearance of the Elohim, the clachan, the Elohimfest, the unlocking of Covenant's knowledge, and finally the escape of Vain.
Also, the discovery of Findail on Starfare's Gem, Kasreyn's attempts to get Covenant's ring, the disaster at the One Tree, and the climactic scenes with Lord Foul in Mt Thunder. Also, I'm curious as to how Linden's formation of the new Staff of Law & her healing and restoration of the Land will be translated from the long narrative into visual scenes.

Very nice - I actually got a bit of a chill thinking about it. Though they'd have to play TC's fear of heights as well. Maybe segue from the sweeping score as he views it to a stinger chord as he looks down and gets vertigomuch2phat wrote:Cool Guys,
I totally forgot about the scene that would just kick ass on screen.
When TC first comes to the land. The first look over the parapet on Kevins Wath. I can almost hear the grandiose music and the the huge wide shot of miles and miles of the land below. Then the journey down the steps with Lena. TC fumbling with his nump, stupid limbs.
Actually, that will probably be in the first 15 minutes of celluloid!
Freakin' Sweet!
I'd love to see an ur-vile wedge.
I'd love to see the krill rising from glimmermere.
I'd love to see Covenant meeting the Search for the first time. In a similar vein, when Saltheart reappears after sinking under the lava (imagine the joy of recognition in each scene!)
The bloodguard whirling into action without any change in expression would be very cool.
I love Bhraithrealm and would enjoy that entire sequence. Including Nom, of course.
Lord, I could be at this all day - let's leave it at that.

Stupid, stupid me. Vain is so critical to my enjoyment of the 2nd Chronicles, and I didn't even think of him! Though there's no particular scene I'd want to see, just him loping along grinning, ever present and mysterious... would be great.Roynish wrote:Simply put Vain. The time he comes to covenants aid for the first time and explodes the hearts of the attackers, mmm, tasty and then of course when he finally speaks. His fight with the urviles etc etc.....

I thought of that, but the first line that occurred to me was something from Army of Darkness:Still looking straight ahead, he says to Mhoram:
"We're gonna need a bigger army."
"Maybe my boys can stop them....Yeah, and maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot!"
Some people say that it doesn't make a difference, but I say it's the difference that makes it...

Lord Mhoram's . . . duh
It's one of the few "wins" for the good guys. And what a scene it would be; the look on that Ravers face when Mhoram pulls out the little surprise he's had tucked away . . . and it's glowing!

putting my two cents in for (this is gonna sound sick) the rape scene. TC's this messed up, leperous, impotent dude who thinks he's dreaming. I don't know bout the rest of you but for me that part seems to motivate him for, i don't know..........THE REST OF HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!! If it's done well, it won't look like an act of criminality but of existential crisis and confusion which we know is what it really is.
When I learned that the word 'decide' has the same latin root word as 'suicide' and genocide', I started making more choices.

And of course it gives the ultimate chance for a great line... thick accent of course... "Say hello to my little friend!"Stormwarder wrote:It's one of the few "wins" for the good guys. its an equally if not more redeeming erotic love scene
as the rape scene is disturbing.

any battle, i don't care, as long as it's in the kind of way they film war movies--( don't know how to explain it ) for example, Saving Private Ryan. I love that kind of fimling in any battle scene, be it modern or archaic.
[edit] by the way, if they put the graphic rape scene in the movie, it would definitely end up being rated R. I don't want it to be rated R.

What Scene do you want to see on film?????
Scenes from LFB I'd love to see brought to life on film :
* Police car lights morphing into Drool's approaching eyes - the revelation of the Cavewight should be pretty frightening
* Kevin and the Grey Slayer enacting the Ritual of Desecration via a flashback/cutaway - spooky incantations, Kevin's despair, LF's evil glee, bang, the holocaust - powerful stuff !
* the serenity of the Celebration of Spring, quickly followed by the destruction of the Wraiths by the Ur-viles
* the Woodhelvennin's flashback to the story of Jehannum
* the introductions of Foamfollower, Mhoram and the Bloodguard
* the blood-red moon

Too Right! I found it sad that SRD decided to Tolkienize this and commit one of the cardinal sins of writing by "telling" instead of "showing"...though I understand that some things important might happen while C is gone from tL.Cail wrote:The scene that wasn't written.....Bannor going out of Revelstone to fight Korik. If done right, that could be the most powerful thing ever filmed.
My vote is of the same ilk: I always wanted to have Troy and Mhoram come over a hill and see - for the first time, first knowledge of it - the Giant Raver, standing tall, fist raised holding what I call an "Illcrest", with his army around him, eyes blazing green...the shock, genuin sadness - that gut wrenching feeling felt when I learned from Manthrall Rue of this corruption...I believe it would be WAY more powerful as a full out suprise...
