I like this idea - but, SRD may be too busy with the convention to spend an evening with us.

...if he attends, we'll just have to keep track of the schedule, and if an opening appears available, ask him...

WHOO!

I second that one. They have a full size Alien queen. Scared the hell outta me, because it's hidden around a corner.

Here is the link to the reading:

www.signedpage.com/pictures.html

Just go to the bottom of the page where it says Videos. The file is 10.2 MB I believe and is only 9 minutes.

It was great to hear SRD talk about everything, I like how he warms things up by putting forth the "egads, man, why so slow?!" question.

It was also nice to meet a couple of you, if ever so briefly. It was obvious to all there that Waddley is a big fan of The Gap.

I was the one who had the Joan of Arc, hunchback & rhino vs Hawkman (White Gold Wielder) book-cover handy.

Yeah, it was very cool listening to Stephen read his own work. I just wish I had gotten the tail end of Chapter One there. Grr.

He also had two or three great diatribes during his talk. One dealt with the length of time it takes for him to write and why it takes so long. Another dealt with Linden Avery and his own inabilities to properly bring that character to life in The Second Chronicles -- resulting in her irrevocable hatred among some fans. And the third dealt with the real Stephen R. Donaldson and the "character one" we were meeting at the event.

Grrr.... stupid computer.
