Undoubtably (to date) the college game of the year. I would like to think that I would still feel that way if Florida would have won...
Both teams left it all out on the field. That last drive (to me) epitomizes what it takes to be a national championship team. So many made plays when he plays had to be made, especially in the 4th down conversions. And 2 of our touchdowns were scored on 4th down plays, too.
LSU played from behind all night long, the sense of desparation was there within them, and they played like they had their backs against the wall and made all of the plays when it counted.
Well, on to Kentucky next week...and that could be a let down game after the emotion of last nights win. I hope Miles keeps his boys ready!!!

Send us your nominations for the greatest SEC games ever
Gearing up to the SEC championship game in December, we're looking to find the Top 5 in 75 — the five greatest SEC games of all time. That's a lot of years, so we're looking to get nominations to put on a ballot that we'll then put before our readers. Readers will select the Top 5 from that ballot, and we'll run them on the lead up to the championship game.
What we need from our nominating committee: Suggestions for the best game and 2-3 sentences on why that game's the best.
These games must be pure SEC vs. SEC matchups. No inter-conference bowl games or out-of-conference games, and certainly we must get beyond Alabama and Auburn, although Punt Bama Punt is already on the list.

Why do we want LSU to have another loss? Do you want to face Auburn instead? (I can see the appeal of that...) I wanted LSU undefeated in the SEC Championship game and now that's out the window. The SEC East is wide open and the Auburn game is no gimme for LSU either.Menolly wrote:...awwww....

That'll take care of the SEC East, anyway.
This is as deep as the East division has ever been, and the conference is deep all around... at this point, UF / UT / USC / UK / UGA all have a legit shot at the east title (UF has no margin for error, of course, but right now we control our "tiebreak" destiny). In the west, LSU and Auburn are good and the rest of the teams are at least credible and somewhat dangerous.

Menolly and Ex, explain your thought process on the "tiebreak destiny" as I'm not following. Florida has 2 SEC losses, right? Auburn and LSU.
Florida has 2 SEC losses so right now we are behind UT, UK and USC in the East. The first tiebreaker is losses within the division which UF has none yet. If UT loses a game along the way, Florida will win the East if we win out -- because we have yet to play UK and USC, the two other 1 loss East division teams. Of course, all this flies out the window if we lose next week at UK. And, obviously only UT, UK, and USC truly control their destiny at this point. The Gators need some help!
