Indeed it is a great pleasure to be introduced to so many deities. If art can be said to be the soul of truth, then I can serve truth no better than to write about myself: I am the Prince of Aesthetes - the god of Satyrs and artists, the hedonist and the gentleman. With the golden sun on my face, a pen in my hand and a grin on my face, I sit before a canvas. I see beauty is my mind, but marred by the knowledge of pain. I only hope to help the world by using my artistic skills and sensibilities to bring about a better aesthetic.

Interesting dogma Telmag. You domain metal is borrowed from me.Be as strong in mind and body as the metals that are borrowed from the earth, those which both protect and aid you in your life day after day. Be as a broken sword returned to the hearth, bond with your kin and be greater than before.

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. There is no fear in love; for perfect love cast out fear.
Indeed, sister. I hope that you do not mind that my people will be partaking of the bountiful sources that you bestow upon all.Calais wrote:Telmag Ganoras wrote:

Seems like forced alliances to me. I may need to attack one or more. But because they just happened to pick the same court when we signed up, it would harm me to some degree, and give the others in that court reason to be mad at me (if they weren't upset by the attacks anyway). Better to be free.

Well, it would only harm you insofar as it could cause the Court to wane; however, if your own strengthening offset the weakening of your in-Court foes, the Court could still grow (think of it as survival of the fittestFist and Faith wrote:Seems like forced alliances to me. All in all, the system of Courts and Houses exists because it should hopefully generate more inter-deity conflict, thereby reducing the necessity for random events. As you probably saw yourselves, the best moments in the Pantheon 2.0 game always involved deities fighting each other...

Well...
If we're going to discuss this here.
Outside of all out divine war I mean?
*sigh*

The rules do say each Court is in opposition to each other, but will that restrict the deities who belong to a Court from making their own alliance with a deity in the other Court?Fist and Faith wrote:Seems like forced alliances to me. Yes. The problem is, everyone has seen the same problem and decided they'll deal with it: you by creating this system, and the players by all going out and creating gods who'll be more antagonistic than in the last game. Unfortunately, the gods and the system seem to have ended up clashing a little. All in all, the system of Courts and Houses exists because it should hopefully generate more inter-deity conflict, thereby reducing the necessity for random events.
