I feel incredibly lucky-I just won 18 games of net-backgammon in a row-and they were all one game-I beat these guys so badly they didn't stick around for another. This is just insanely improbable-my mind is totally blown--I've never seen this or heard about this before...I must be loved by every angel (except dAN, of course :P ). 8O

Cov, that sucks. I'm really sorry.

Lore, is it possible for you to get another supervisor? Would that change your job status?

Tired.

Last night, my Middle Eastern Dance Troupe was to perform at a peace benefit. I live in LA. The benefit was in Orange County, and started at 7pm. We didn't leave LA until 7pm--but we were in the second half and, it being a dance show, we expected it to start late. About an hour later we arrive to learn the show is indeed running behind (the less said about the trip--a van barely able to hold all six of us and our costumes, plus a snake--the better). Fine. I look all over the place for check in. It is in lobby. No, it is backstage. Didn't you see it in the lobby? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Then we get ready for our dance. Cue music. The wrong music is played. We point this out. It stops. Another wrong music plays. It stops. They tell us we're switching our positions with the next troupe until they find our music, so we go back to our dressing room. Suddenly, we hear our music on stage! We rush back.

They start the correct music. So far, so good. Things are going well. Then, at the end, when the last piece of music is to be played, the music simply stops. Everyone, but everyone, knows something is wrong. But there is no more music forthcoming (it was all in one continuous track).

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

On the way back, one of our dancers realizes he left his Japanese-they-don't-make-anymore-dance helmet backstage. It is midnight. I swear he almost suggested we go back for it. Fortunately, we call the organizer and she finds the *#@! thing.

I get home at 12:30 am. I have trouble falling asleep. I wake up at 7am.

Me is tired.

I feel f---ed over. By Continental.

Well, it's not that bad compared to many stories I've heard about airline experiences, but it's my first time getting fairly badly screwed.

I also feel a bit more like an adult for this reason.

My cat is a master mischief maker. Last night, I hid the DVDs I got from Netflix by my printer, where I thought it would be safe from prying paws. WRONG. I come home tonight to find one DVD on the floor with a big tooth mark in it from the dog. I give the dog a talking to, and while I do so, the cat marches up to the spot where I put the DVDs and pokes her paw around there. Sometimes I think she deliberately tries to frame the dog, who's more than happy to gnaw on anything that falls on the floor.

I am great! :) Have finally organised another trip to Wilson's Promontory. Leaving this Friday and coming back on Sunday. Going with SoS, a couple of my friends, and my partner might even come along. I'm looking forward to getting away--need a break--and I'll get time to do some photography which I'm *really* looking forward to!

I don't think you love me any more, do you? And if you do, why do you act like you can't get away from me fast enough? And why won't you let me even kiss you, never mind share a bed with you, even though we live together?
Yeah, this might be the end. I really thought we were going to make it.
I'm sorry to hear that CJr *hugs*

Cov, my condolences. I know that feeling, and it sucks. Hopefully, though, it is just some grumpiness that is piling up in her life, and, as some people do, she is taking it out on those she loves most. But that utter lack of respect crap is hard to take. Hopefully it's just that, and talking it out with help her realize that she isn't treating you the way you want to be treated.
But be prepared for the worst - that there might be someone else in her life. And be able to face that calmly before you have the conversation. The best thing you can do is take it like a man. Sure it's going to hurt if that's it, but if you handle it correctly, she might look at you in a different way. But hopefully that's not it. Feel free to PM me after you have The Talk.

..And sometimes, one's partner of 17 years decides all aspects of the relationship is good, but they want to go celibate anyway...

There need not necessarily be someone else involved. The partner who did not make this choice then has to decide if the rest of the relationship is worth sticking with.

...I've chosen to stick it out and have done so for the past three years...

Thanks everyone.

If it was just that side of things, it wouldn't bother me so much. It'sthe total indifference in all aspects of the 'relationship'. We're a couple in name only. In practice, we're little more than people who happen to live in the same house.

Well, I'll return with the outcome after we've talked.

Thanks again.

No, and there very well might not be. My fiance, when she decided not to carry on our relationship, stopped sleeping in the same bed and so forth, and there was nobody else. But she did let me know first. I think sleeping alone was the hardest part for me.

To be honest, I think it's of one of those situations where she doesn't dislike or hate me, she just doesn't feel anything much towards me any more. I think the only reason she hasn't ended it herself is because she's comfortable.

But this is all theory, formulated without having spoken to her about it.

*nodding*

I have come to learn that communication is the most important part of a relationship or else misunderstandings of all sorts develop. Avoidance of issues is a path to be avoided, heh.

Let us know how things go, Cj.

Bitches, dude....yo.

I would humbly like to apologize to all the women on the Watch for my prior mysogynistic comment. It is not the opinion of the writer that all women are bitches. Just the ones that hurt me and those I care about. Yo.

Awww...I love women. Much more than men. Not that I want to be a woman though. It's probably the result of living primarily with two sisters and a mom only during my formative years.

I still don't understand them as much as men. But I know better how to please them :P
