The problem with Thanksgiving is, the internet's gone all quiet!
As Jay Lake said, "The U.S. is closed today on account of turkey."

Yeah...I really need to step away from this soul stealer and get started on my deviled eggs and southern-style green beans...

Murrin-
Some of us USA'ers are still here. :) I'm stuck at work for the morning. Of course, there's no actual work 'cause there's no customers, 'cause it's Thanksgiving, but whatever.... :?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!!

My girlfriend and I got up early to get the turkey in the oven. Made a cherry pie, a pumpkin pie and a pumkin roll. Giblet gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce...etc. you know the whole Thanksgiving feast!

We have so much to be thankful for! I hope everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving!!!
We miss you Tracie but your Spirit will always shine brightly on the Watch Image

Screw all of you!!! I'm at work and bitter. And it has been a complete pain in the ass day so far. Thankfully it is a shortened day. Little did I know that meant concentrate all the irritation I get over a normal day into a smaller but more annoying package.

Bah, bumhug.

My 18 pounder just went into the oven. We should be sitting down to eat about 7:00 pm. Appetizers of deviled eggs, smoked mahi-mahi and wahoo, cream cheese, Hebrew National salami (for Beorn), extra sharp white cheddar, grapes, sliced apples, and town house crackers will be set out in an hour.

I love cooking for the holidays.

Hey, Sis in law just flew in from Tampa Bay. Her, Tam, Elora and I about to sit down to a feast after the cabinets, electricity, undercounter sink, brand new dishwasher just got put in with dualfuel convection oven up and running. Tam is making cornish game hens wrapped in bacon on wild rice stuffing, acorn squash stuffed with sausage, green beans with chili roasted almonds, Katie's (sis-n-law) cranberry salad, relish tray with homemade pickles and pumpkin cheesecake (yes it was made in the fancy oven that sat around powerless for 6 long months!).

Happy Thanksgiving from New Mexico!! And Blessings to all (even the stinkin' atheists, wheteher they want it our not! :P ).

Thanks, KiGirl, but it wasn't too bad. I got home in time for football, dinner, and as much time with the extended family that I could handle, so things worked out well. :)

Why, thank you, Batty! (That's funny -- she said something different on the phone to one of her friends... )

Happy Black Friday/Buy Nothing Day to everyone!

After I ranted and raved about it to my girlfriend for a bit, she found the situation I had to contend with completely ridiculous, and I felt better as someone agreed with me. Even better as I discussed it with another agent this morning who said the same thing. But yeah...I just tried to forget that I didn't just sleep in yesterday morning, and got over after about 30 minutes. And I did have a good day afterwards.
