Yeah, Jordan dying after the last book was the equivalent of Raul Julia dying after doing Street Fighter. Made an unfortunate event that much more so.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Gotta say I am sorry he died and I wish his family luck in their time of mourning, but his books were getting a little hard to wade through, but I still wish RJ had lived to see the end. RIP Robert, some of us will stay to the end whatever comes.

I'm sad that such a prolific writer has passed, more due to how he affected the genre, than due to any of his writings, for me anyway.

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"
