I go with the orange dots.
I don't check every forum every time, as I usually don't have time for that. I always go to General Discussions, and usually check Announcements, The Summonsing, First and Second Chrons, and will often take a look at Hile Troy's Think Tank. If I have time, I check everything with an orange dot.

Sometimes I will click on my name and then, "find all posts by MsMary" to get to responses to my recent posts - they are in chronological order from newest to oldest, so I can just check the recent responses, no problem.
