FR Audiobook

Post by Quorlan »

On SRDs site in the From the Author -> News section, there is a brief mention of it being available from eReader.com and a mention in the same blurb about the reading being by Scott Brick. Since eReader sells eBooks (not audiobooks) and since SRD earlier did say the Scott Brick had bought the rights to record and sell an audiobook, I am interpreting this to mean that there has indeed been an AUDIOBOOK release of FR, but I cannot find it for sale anywhere. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for any help! And my apologies if this is not the right place for this question but I didn't see anywhere else that made sense for it.

Thanks!

From SRD official website today:
"Fatal Revenant" audio (oops!)

An earlier news item--now deleted--announced that an audio version of "Fatal Revenant" read by Scott Brick was available from www.ereader.com. Sadly, I was misinformed. Brick does indeed have a contract with Putnams to produce an unabridged audio version of "Fatal Revenant," but at present I have no idea when/how it will become available. I'm trying to find out.

Thanks very much for that. I had been checking SRD's site daily, but saw no change for a week or two, so I stopped checking so frequently. Thanks for the info!

SRD's site today:
"Fatal Revenant" unabridged audio version

I am now assured that Scott Brick's reading of "Fatal Revenant" will be available from www.audible.com early in January. He is also "in discussion" with iTunes, eMusic, and even Amazon, but those outlets remain uncertain.

I cant wait to get this one.I have all the rest on my various Ipods and listen regularly.

Not a huge fan of Brick (he also did the Sword Of Shanara series) which I have all of in audio book format (mp3/mp4)

Instead of rereading ROTE to refresh my memory I listened to the audio book, which I believe as done by Brick. I had no problems with his presentation. Not the best but not the worst.

i put an update for this in the SRD Gen discussion thread but for everyone's information: there has been a delay with a release of FR as an audio book. No release date is set at the moment.
