Have any of you tried to shave with a penknife?

Post by aTOMiC »

If you've ever tried to shave with a penknife, how much blood did you lose? How long was it before the cuts healed? Were you able to staunch the bleeding with toilet tissue or did you have to resort to several band-aids or worse a trip to the ER? If no penknife, how about a stone knife? I've never been brave enough to try a straight razor so I'm happy to state that I have no experience with this procedure.

One gallon of blood lost would be sufficient to render TC hors de combat.

I must say that when I read the Chronicles I was sporting a full beard, so the horror of considering shaving with a pen-knife never crossed my mind. I shave now with a double-blade from Gillette. I don't even go against the grain, for fear of slashing my throat, so poor Covenant must have been in agony. :P

CT, as Joe Besser used to say in the old Abbott & Costello Show, "You so silly!" sure he cut himself up--but I'm sure he had plenty of hurtloam on hand...

I'm sure Covenant had hurtloam but I just wonder if it might be fatal to do so without that rare gift of healing.

Speaking of Joe Besser, I think maybe The Three Stooges must've had some Hurtloam in the dressing room. :screwy:

I agree. You don't need to be a nuclear physicist to know you can't shave with a pen knife. :screwy:

Greetings Dr. Banner. Welcome to the Watch. My avatar is indeed that of the Invincible Iron Man. I seem to remember that both Iron Man and the Hulk are founding members of the Avengers. We should get along great. Have fun at the watch.

Me left group long time ago. Shiny metal man talked too much then, shiny metal man talks too much now. Makes me head hurt. Me smash. Me like shiny metal man. Me think if man with pen knife shaves, then man with pen knife need to have healing factor, like me. Me not like pen knife man. Me smash.

Wierd stuff. BTW, wWhen Covenant did not shave, and let his beard grow out, SRD described him several ways, all seemingly based upon the length of his beard. Prophetic, heretical, insane; and lots more. I was wondering if they sold beard trimmer attachments in those sizes. I for one would like a prophetic beard, but I only have attachments in numerically designated sizes, and do not know the conversions. :gandalf: :screwy:

Woo. Looks like I'm no longer the most powerful superhero on list. Maybe I should go on patrol... :screwy:

Calm down gentlemen, or I just might have to turn back to the Dark Side and kick all of your asses.

Shaving with a pen knife sounds like a really bad idea. I'm not sure what would be worse, the protracted agony of shaving with the damn thing or the tourniquet round your neck after you sever your carotid artery.
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

I have heard that my Av is some known character...I just picked him cause he does look very much like Danlo the Wild. (dAN I just did a Google: is my Av the "John Simon" character?)
