Seareach Is Comin' To a Town Near You (aka USA in June)

Post by Seareach »

It's the news you've all been waiting to hear! :P ;)

I shall be in the US of A in June 2008.

I'll be booking my ticket in about two weeks and will probably try to fly in on the 5th of June (into SF) and then leave sometime around the 20th.

I will be traveling with my partner in crime (Louise aka Lucimay). We have no idea where we're going, what we're doing and won't be making any definite plans until my ticket is booked.

But "expressions of interest" are most welcome!!! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see me and Luci TOGETHER (as I will probably never visit the US again). SOooooooo...don't miss out!

That would be an awful long way for me to go to get to a town near me. :?

Have a great time. Accepted that I've only ever spent time on the east coast but you'd do well to get over to New York at some point, and not just for The Esmer. I love NYC.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

Yeah but Marv, aren't you in Melbourne...I can visit you anytime! ;)

Anyway, we're not staying in SF. That's just where I'm flying in. We'll do some travellin': might drive a bit then fly around a bit or do something...

All shall be revealed...eventually... :D

But I'd be mad to miss a trip to Casa Danlo!

Since Seareach is gonna be in the area, and since SRD has said (to Wadds) that he'd met us again, as long as the meeting is in Albq., why not try to put something together again? Only this time we need to do it in a way that doesn't make Danlo and Lady Tam have to work so hard.

Agreed. They *definitely* went above & beyond the call this year.

Plus if we all meet up in Abq again, and bring our copies of Fatal Revenant, we can get 'em signed!

Hey, that's up to you guys. I was thinking spring break (1st week of April), since that would be the easiest time to get the boys out to the woods. But June would also fit that bill, since they'll be out for summer break. Either way, we're probably going camping Spring Break with or without everyone else, so you don't have to make your plans around our schedule.

If you are going to Albq, then you will have to drive through Phoenix and say "hello" to me.

Then again, if we are talking another Albq get together, I just might have to try and make it this time.

If everyone decides to do Albuquerque to meet up with Sea (I think it is an awesome idea, I just don't see me making it), the first week in April should work for the camping trip for me, if I can come. Hyperception can get Beorn to school while I'm gone (his Spring Break is the following week), and I wouldn't have to worry about Passover foods until the third week in April.

Keep us in the loop as things progress. I have plenty of spare vacation time this year and can go almost anywhere. :)

yeah!!! caam!!! sea and i are thinking of going to the GC!! we could
either stop in and visit you or, if we do have an e-fest in albuquerque,
sea and i could give you a lift back to arizona on our way to GC!!! :D

we were also thinking that if everyone wanted to have an east coast e-fest in DC again we could drive across country, stop in albuquerque, stop at the GC, head to e-fest in DC!!

we could have mini e-fest all over!!!
one is SF with us west coasters (balon is already planning to come down when Sea gets here!!)
one in albuquerque
and one in DC

If someone can get Donaldson there in Albuquerquequeuequequeg in June for Sea's visit, I will be there. Otherwise, please stop by Colorado. It's just a short jaunt from A-town. Okay, well, 8+ hours, but still..

You girls could always go for Laternate ending of Thelma and Louise..and instead of driving off a cliff, just cross the border.

Plus if Sea starts missing her kid, she could always borrow one of mine (i have extras)

YAY!
